I like http://www.askdrsears.com and http://www.mindful-mama.com (good inspiration and great craft & food ideas). I also love getting Ideal Bite's mama tips every day--they are really useful!
Hi! Just wondering if anyone would like to share some of their favorite websites you use regarding children, education, develepment, eating, best places to buy for kids, crafts ect. Even if its something non-related but you just think its really neat or useful. Seems like you can spend most of your time wading through websites and come up empty except lost time. I would love to see what others love to use. Thanks!
WoW!Thanks everyone! I can't wait to look at these sites and bookmark them. I peeked at a few already and saw some great stuff. Hopefully others can get good use out of this too. Thanks for saving me a lot of time, we all know there is not a lot of that to go around!!

Well, www.Z..com, of course :) (We're an online marketplace for parents to post their gently used kids' gear to give to other parents. The whole process is done using points, not dollars, so it's all free! It's worth checking out!)
Other websites?

www.divinecaroline.com (user submitted stories and articles)
www.blogher.com (great stuff from women all over the world)

starfall.com is one of my kids favorites and helped my 2 year old know his ABC's months before he turned 2. :)
In case no one has mentioned it yet, check out starfall (www.starfall.com) Your little guys is probably not ready for computer by himself (but it comes all too fast, lol) but this is a great site to start playing with in a year or less. It starts with letters and move through about 2nd-3rd grade reading skill in a fun, interactive way. It's bright colors and movement. Play with it a bit and decide when he's ready. My kids have absolutely loved it!
Hi Stacy,
I agree! I HATE web surfing. It is frusterating & time consuming. Ugh!!! LOL.
One of my favorites is the KIDS EAT FREE NIGHTS. http://www.mykidseatfree.com/index.asp we LOVE to eat & with 5 we LOVE to eat FREE!!! WHoo hoo!
If you are looking for deals try
kids.woot.com
This website lists one deal for sale each day. I have found several new items that are at least 50% off regular retail prices at the "parent" website woot.com.
It is worth checking out.

www.eco-POLITAN.com is a mom-owned business with a great selection of baby gear!
I enjoy thriftyfun.com.
One of my favorite websites is
www.frugalvillage.com
There are a few blogs I like to check out regularly.
http://toddlerboredombusters.blogspot.com/ is a blog dedicated to toddlers. My friend actually runs the blog. She has 3 year old, a 2 year old and a 6 month old, and she is constantly doing fun activities with them. It is really cute!
http://themeanestmom.blogspot.com/ just makes me laugh. She is a mom of 4 children, 3 being born in the same calendar year. She writes a lot of fun stuff.
http://homespunlight.blogspot.com/] gives good reviews on clean books and offers insight to the joys of life and having children.
http://diapersanddivinity.com/ is one that offers insight on a more spiritual level. She is an LDS woman who posts her thoughts and what not on her blog.
I really enjoy looking at all the blogs. Maybe you can find something you enjoy too!
As the webmaster, I highly recommend www.VisitSaltLake.com to anyone planning a vacation to the Salt Lake area. We have great deals for family vacations, and soon we'll have a great trip planning tool with spot to spot mapping for your vacation planning.
Hi Stacy,
I have a website of my own that has everything from a-z. There are so many partner stores.I love the Artistry line of skin care and cosmetics for myself and the cleaners and laundry items are amazing. I have three very messy kids (14,12,6). Older ones are B. who play sports so grass, dirt, blood and anything else they get into are not a problem. If you have questions you can contact me through the website too. www.getitherenow.mychoices.biz Hope to see you as a customer. Enjoy your little one =)
focusonthefamily.org has wonderful resources from free podcasts, articles and a community board. They cover many topics other web sites won't.

www.familyfun.com is a favorite of mine. I use the recipe section often and I love all their party game ideas they also have a fun section on crafts that my Kids ages 9,5 and 2 just love to do. Can't wait to see what other fun sites other mom's recomend. Stacy thanks for putting this question out there. Great idea
For when your son gets a little older, you can go to http://SchoolChoiceForKids.org (full disclosure: I'm the site's webmaster). It's a one-stop shop for Colorado parents who want to find a public or private school in their area and learn more about the open enrollment process. You can search for public schools in your area and/or search for specific characteristics like Core Knowledge, Montessori, home-based online, gifted and talented, etc. We also have info on preschool and child care, college, homeschooling and listings of all of Colorado's private schools.
Thanks for asking, I enjoyed reading all the responses!
When I was a fretful first time mom, I used kellymom.com all the time. I like askdrsears.com for help with illness.
Right now I like familyfun.com
I also like nabisco.com
kraft foods
hersheys.com
allrecipes.com is a verry good site if you have an idea of one item you want, like chicken but don't know what you want to do with it.
Great idea Stacey, I like to use www.dltk-kids.com a lot. It's filled with free pictures, crafts and learning activites for kids that you can print.
I am also a member of th Parent to Parent Board of Colorado for children with special needs and it has been really helpful..
Have a great day!
Well I am all about the crafts so I'd be happy to answer on that one. I've recently become the Managing Editor of www.craftcritique.com which is a website dedicated to reviewing craft products. Before I worked with Craft Critique I was an avid reader.
Hi Stacy,
If I might toot my own horn, check out my website www.motherhoodtransitions.com. I also have other resources and websites listed there and on my blog www.motherhoodtransitions.com/blog. Enjoy.
www.starfall.com is great for learning the alphabet and how to read.
Hi Stacy-
For great websites for crafts, I use www.Splitcoaststampers.com for ideas on scrapbooking, cardmaking adn projects (goodie bags/boxes for parties, showers, etc) and a whole lot of other stuff!
And i may be biased, but I also recommend
www.nataliezylstra.myctmh.com for scrapbooking and cardmaking as well!
for anything crafty, party-ish, storage, or anything really, try www.orientaltrading.com as well(great stuff, great prices, discounts, and get yourself on their email list- they ALWAYS have coupons/promo codes), and www.lakeside.com for great deals on almost anything!
and i also use www.retailmenot.com for promo codes/coupons for websites to get deals on shipping and % off of purchases.
hope these get you on your way!
