Anti Perspirant That Does Not Cause Yellow Stains?

I had to start using the clinical strength deodorant - Degree and Secret has their versions. It has helped so much!

The real trick here is to put the antiperspirant on and allow enough time for it to dry before getting dressed. If I had showered and was blow drying my hair, I was drying out my underarms, too. I'm not sure how to get it off the shirt after the build up has become visible. My husband ruined a few shirts like this before he learned to dry the stuff out first.

I have this problem also. I don't think it's the sweat itself b/c it happens no matter what the weather or what deoderant. I still have it happen with the clinical strength deoderant. I have recently switched to a homemade deoderant made from baking soda, cornstarch, and coconut oil which seems to control my sweating as well as odor and does not seem to cause the yellow stains. I'm with Lucky. Its the sweat itself htat makes the stains. I have never had a white shirt that didn't get them until I switched to the clinical strength deoderant/antipersperant. I use dove. I do worry about the aluminum in the future as far as alzheimers goes, but I no longer have to throw away shirts that I would like to wear more than once.

I only get that issue when I use an antiperspirant that contains aluminum (check the ingredients).

Warning - when I switched to a non-aluminum formulation - at first it seemed like I wasn't controlling the sweating adequately. But gradually my sweating has gotten less and less . . .

My personal opinion (and I'm not a health care provider of any type) is that my body was trying to get rid of the aluminum (by sweating which is how my body detoxes).

I also don't like aluminum hovering that close to lymph nodes and breast tissue.

Your doctor can also prescribe you an antiperspirant - Drysol. It works so well that you only have to use it a few days per week. Despite the names, the 'clinical strength' antiperspirants that you buy without a presecription just don't compare.

I too ruin every single white shirt I buy. It doesn't seem to matter what deodorant I use or whether I sweat or not. I always but my deodorant on long before my clothing so it should be dry. I haven't found anything that takes it completely out but I have learned that spraying the arm pit area with stain remover before every wash seems to help a little bit.

I don't think it's the deodorant that is causing the shirt to yellow. It's from sweating. I've found a big help in making sure it doesn't happen, by washing the white shirt after your done wearing it right away.

I use Mitchum Gel - yes, it is a "man's" deodorant but I like the fact that it is clear and has an unscented....I don't want to smell my underarms even if they are "Powder Fresh". LOL

But, I do need to allow time for it to dry before I get dressed.

It is not the anti-perspirant that causes the yellowing..It is the actual sweat. The sweat mixed with dead skin cell and fluid is what causes it.
