Hello,
I am a chiropractor specializing in pediatrics and pregnancy. I am considering becoming certified through "Hope for Autism" to alternatively treat austisc children. They say there have been great results in eliminating the symptoms of autism in children that go through the treatments.
Does anyone have any experience with BioNutritional treatment for autism and is there an interest for this type of treatment for these children?
Thank you!

Dr. M. Walter

You should contact or look into Dr. Phillip DeMio, he lives in Ohio. He has a website but you can just google him. I hear he is amazing, and well known.

Dr. M., I can show you tons of scientific evidence of the benefits of pycnogenol for the autistic community. I can also provide an array of products that children struggling in this area will take readily and benefit greatly in the area of nutrition and digestion. We are on the same page with our passion to help!

Hi M., I only have experience with Autistic clildren while in my chair, licenced cosmetoligist. One boy I have cut for years, he's so cute, always says to his parents ( all by myself), you are choosing a profession your obviously going to be great in, and I wanted to thank you for making a difference, not just making money. I love my job and would like to think the same in my profession. Best of luck to you, and all you do.

While I do believe in Nutrition, I also strongly believe in other alternative forms of therapy as I have seen the results deliver. As I suffer from my own auto-immune disorder, I have found that using foods found in nature work just as well. I eat them raw or steam them (fruits and veggies - hardly any meat. There are other sources for protein). When I do this, I feel great. Also, Massage and Reflexology have offered me better results over chiropractic work. Sure, Chiropractic work has benefits, but I have also had clients come back to me that have had adverse affects from your work from those that took the work too far, too much, too often.

As I am service provider, I only feel it is fair to post that there are other alternative therapies available that I have seen provide positive effects that are more cost-effective for them - especially in this tight economy.
