Any mom's out there that can recommend an affordable friendly preschool for my soon to be 4 yr old son? We live in Nyack. I did apply for the UPK but would love to find somewhere that has a longer day. I know about headstart but am worried that our income may be too high...
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

my daughter goes to Hawthorne Christian Academy, in Hawthorne, NJ and their price is right in line with all the schools, and they teachers are FANTASTIC. There are a lot of families that attend the school and live in New York. It is right on Route 208.They are about $222.00 for 3 1/2 days and i check all the schools in this area and they seem to be compatible.

their website it hca.org. check it out I think it would be worth it. Let me know if you are going to attend i get information for you.

Depends what you mean by affordable. Goddard in Norwood NJ is pretty close to Nyack, and they are really great. If your child is potty trained, for full time (the hours are M-F 7am till 6PM), it costs $980 a month. Let me know if you're intrested, and I can tell you more about them.

Hi Jesse,

I'm also in Nyack. You may want to try the Palisades School House in Blauvelt. Rates and hours are about in keeping with those mentioned for the Goddard school. My daughter is younger but loves it... Good luck!

J., I totally understand about the income being on the high side, that was the case for me and my husband when we were looking up preschool for my 2 1/2 year old. You could try local listing in your area and also call board of ed to see their reccommendations. Good luck in your earch
