Hi! We're looking at getting a new car- yeah! My top two are the GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook. They look pretty much the same, but wanted to know pros & cons of both. We will be using it to tow a pop-up trailer.
thanks!

Hi Robin: We were looking at the same vehicles last year, but after researching and getting their best deals, we ended up with the Buick Enclave. For the same price, we got way more with our Buick. So check them out too. Good luck. We love our Buick!

Since GM is discontinuing the Saturn brand, I would maybe avoid that car. If you are looking for something to keep for a long time maintenance could get more expensive if replacement parts specific to Saturn become hard to find.

they are essentially the same car. However, since GM announced that they are ending the Saturn brand, I'm not sure how warranties and repairs and parts will go. Might want to do some research on that. Might haelp make your decision easier.

GM is shutting down Saturn, it was announced in the news a few days ago. This may deter you from purchasing a Saturn now, who knows what kind of support and service will exist when the division is closed. Good luck!

Robin,

We have the Acadia and we LOVE it! I have twin boys, and have had no trouble fitting our car seats in addition to the other gear we need to constantly tow. While they look similar to an Outlook (and they are "corporate cousins"), the Acadia comes with many more standard features. I also think it looks sleaker, too. It's very comfortable and easy to drive.

Hi Robin; Saturn is just about to close, so I would definitely not by one. You may be able to get a great deal on one in the next few weeks, as dealers scramble to get rid of them, but I'd be worried about parts in the future along with resale, as I'm sure the value won't be there. Just make sure you purchase a car thats made in the USA! L.

We have had our Acadia for two years and love it! Lots of room-it's a garage hog, though! It rides really smooth, and I feel like I'm up high and can see the road really well. The only downside, as an average height woman, I really have trouble seeing out the back to back up-especially at night. The care is so long, it's hard to tell distance...and I usually drive a minivan.
