A Good Punch

We are having a birthday party for our 2 year old. We are not really into giving our kids sugary juices (Kool-Aid) and soda (the raseberry sherbet ice cream and 7up). I was wondering if anyone had a good punch recipe that everyone would like but isn't just full of sugar??!

What can I do next?

Yes, I have very good punch that is low in sugar and delicious - it is made with mineral water, so is slightly carbonated - not sure if that will work for you, but all it is is XanGo (one bottle) and 2-3 bottles of mineral water - unflavored. It is a delicious punch, crisp, refreshing and fruity - no added sugars. 1 oz of XanGo (mangosteen whole fruit juice) has only 13 calories and 2.9 grams of natural sugar from the fruit blend. I would highly recommend it. If you would like I can give you some free samples and you can mix them with a glass of mineral water to get an idea of taste. You can also freeze Xango in jello mold ring with fresh sliced oranges for added fruitiness and to keep it chilled while all enjoy. V. Garnese

Serve "lemonade". Basically a glass container of ice water with some real lemon juice and lemon slices added to make it Pretty. You could add just a hint of a sweet substance.
(stevia, xylitol, aloe vera juice, apple juice)

Lemon water actually detoxed the liver. So it could be good for them at the same time!

That's a good idea to not serve a sugary drink.

another thought is milk, maybe with a few drops of food color and some almond extract.

Add frozen berries (like frozen mixed berries from trader joe's) instead of ice cubes to something like the previous poster's lemon water. The berries add a decorative touch and will turn the beverage a nice pinkish-purple color.

If you have access to a decent juicer, get some sweet apples (gala or fuji) and juice them, then (in a separate container) juice an entire large lemon (skin included). Just before you are going to drink it, add the lemon juice in. (If the lemon juice sits in the apple juice over night, it starts to taste bitter.) This makes the best "lemonaid" known, and is made up only of fruit.

Good Luck!
