My husband and I will be celebrating our 6th anniversary on June 14th. We always follow what the gift is to give for each anniversary according to "tradition" and this year it's candy. My husband isn't a huge candy person, but he does like Kit Kat's, I'm trying to find a unique way to give him a candy anniversary gift that he'll appreciate. I found a place online that does candy bouquet's, but was hoping to find something that was less expensive. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

You could leave a trail of those kit kat singles and you would be at the end of the trail. With a romantic dinner or something.

My husband and I give each other candy cards. We get a large piece of poster board and write a poem, or a love note, and fill in different words with candy bars or pieces of candy. For example: Honey, I fall to (Pieces) when I'm with you. (U-No) you are the one for me. I see the (Milky Way) in your eyes, etc. The cheesier the better, and funnier. Even if he doesn't eat the candy, he'll love th card. My family used to do these for different people growing up and I had never told my husband, then boyfriend, about it. When I went to California to meet his family, on the guest bed was a giant candy bar card. I asked him if he'd gotten the idea from my family and he said no, that his family had been doing them for years. That was one way I knew I was going to marry him. : ) We're having our 8th Anniversary tomorrow! Congratulations to you both! I know you will think of something very special for your hubby.

Hi, Perhaps you could buy several packs of Kit Kats and build something with them. Like for example my husband likes trains so building a train or station building or track (probably easier) would be a neat idea. You could also spell out Happy Anniversary or Happy 6th with them. You could also do a treasure hunt where he has to go around figuring out clues, you could make them relate to when you were dating and/or your 1st 6 years together. The prize at the end would be his Kit Kats! Good luck and Happy Anniversary. My husband and I just celebrated our 14th in March. May you and your husband have many more blessed years together!

God Bless,
M.

You have time... I suggest making a Kit Kat costume for your self. "Care for a piece?" Always a big hit.

You could do edible arrangements with chocolate covered strawberries...less candy and more fruit...or go to a nice restaurant with 'dessert' and not necessarily candy, like Melting Pot....yum. Or have the waiter deliver KitKats to your table on the plate....
Or you could have a scavenger hunt if he is into that type of thing - get him a little man toolkit with a compass and have him geo-track his way to a candy store with a little riddle...each riddle could have an answer related to a candy - like Milky Way - for a question about space...or Dots (for end of sentence punctuation, another name for period...). But it would have to be multiple choice, so each correct answer goes to another destination. Or just do it around the house, with each found 'answer' having the next riddle inside the wrapper - and once he finishes the puzzle, it unlocks a final destination to the candy store with KitKats as the final answer/prize. Or you could hide them around the house and do the same thing with pre-bought candy, just less driving.

How about an overnight trip to Hershey Pa? The big hotel there has a first rate spa. You cannot get more 'candy' than the town where they make it. They usually have great concerts at the park too. If You google Hershey park the hotel info will come up.

You could do something a little more personal. Like a teddy with some kit kats wrapped in it. That may spark some attention and a nice anniversary present. I have never done that but it isn't a bad idea. Good Luck
Whatever you decide to do I hope you enjoy your anniversary.

There are lots of good ideas already but you could also incorporate candy into a recipe. If your husband is a sweets fan but not necessarily candy, you could find a delicious recipe made with candy. Also, on the more intimate side, you could purchase some body chocolate or a chocolate soap bar (Chocoholics is the brand) and plan a special evening in and alone for the two of you. Good luck and happy anniversary!

If the candy bouquet is what your looking for but without the price. A great way I have done this is to go thestore(Michael's, JoAnns) and get a decrative container and put a phone piece inside and get some sticks(long toothpick like) and make your own bouquet. You will be amazed how cute it comes out and you can be more creative with personal touches. You ca put small pic of you and your family, pic of times you have shared thoughout the years, and of course, for tradition sake, throw in his candy. Sounds cute already.

Make soemthing yourself using candy - Michaels or AC Moore could give you ideas for copying a candy bouquet.

One thing I like to do for my husband is to give him somehting fun and practicle for the whole day versus one big gift. For instance, you oculd hide Kit Kats all over his space - his nightstand, his car, his jacket pocket, his desk at work, etc. Or you could make him a "get through the day" pack - buy him a lunch bag or picnic basket and filll it with a picture of the family, a crossword book, chocolate milk or a chocolate latte or hot chololate mix, some nuts or pretzels, and of course candy.

You could also google and look for a chocolate tasting or candy making class. Some wineries might do a wine tasting paired with choolate - red wine and dark chocolate is awesome. Also, you oculd make a fancy dinner with a candy theme. I am not a good cook, but I bet you could find some dishes that use cocoa.

Similar to another response, but to be arranged in a regular vase, is to go to the grocery store and buy those foot long kebob sticks and glue or tape the small kitkat bars to each end. Vary the heights of the sticks and add small pictures of your wedding day or honeymoon and place a card on one stick with your date. If you want to do an arrangement, get a green foam block from any florist or craft store, and in addition to the kebob sticks with items, intersperse some simple flowers. Carnations are small, inexpensive, can be had in multiple colors and hold up well. Guys like flowers too! You could also "copy" the popular edible arrangements and use chocolate dipped fruits on the sticks between kitkats. Have fun........Happy anniversary!!

Have you ever done the idea where you wrap a little box, put it into another box, wrap that until you have 4 or 5 boxes inside each other? In the bottom box have Kit Kat bars.

ok....I am not crafty..but how about getting a wreath form from a craft store and pinning? glue? sticking the little sized kitkats to it and decorating it with kitkat colored flowers/bows in between...I bet it would look really cool and soon the wreath would be empty after he eats them all!
best of luck and Happy 6th!

You know those diaper cakes that people make for baby showers? What if you made something like that out of Kit Kats? You could use a tin or a circular cardboard box and then gluegun Kit Kat's on it.

Wrap yourself up in a big Kit Kat wrapper. You could make one out of whatever is around the house (don't forget to include saran wrap though!) ;)
