I would suggest getting something made out of rought iron. it includes the iron and is a great keepsake for the family.
OK, so the "traditional" gifts are iron (??) and candy. Modern is wood. 5th "traditional" is wood and my husband got me a bonsai tree last year (very cool!). I thought of a candy basket or bouquet, but he's not really a huge candy fan. It's not totally off the table, but if I could come up with something cool for the iron...
Any ideas?
Golf is a maybe, but I just got him 2 clubs for father's day. What do you think of one of those novelty branding irons you can get from grilling supply places?
I think I might go with this:

Maybe as a part of your gift giving, you could give him candy...eye candy! Dress yourself in something sexy and let him unwrap his gift.
There are lots of neat decor pieces out of black iron rod. You might be able to find a specialty item or even look on www.etsy.com to see if someone makes things out of iron. That would be pretty unique. All the best in finding the perfect gift...K.
Golf clubs? :-)

All the guys I know who are "grill-masters" think the branding irons are cool. Since it's for an anniversary gift, you could do your last name or his initials if you have time to get it ordered. If not you could just do the first letter of your last name. There are also some really cool iron grilling accessories. I have found them for very reasonable prices at Marshalls and sometimes TJ Max.
Is he a golfer? You could get him a new iron!
In case you change your mind, I got my husband a men's jewlery box made out of wood.
