37 Weeks Prego and Still Surprising Myself!

I'm 37 weeks prego today!!! Whoo hooo!! I'm so close to having this baby thank goodness because I've just been miserable for the last few weeks and I'm pretty sure I'll be miserable the rest of the time I'm prego. With that said I have to say I'm proud of myself. Last week I ended up having a full outbreak of HEMROIDS! I've never had them like this before....sooo painful...very uncomfortable..etc., etc. I was really upset because I'm pretty sure at this point they are not going to go away any time soon and I may still have issues with them after I have my baby. But the party that I'm proud of is that I've just accepted it and have moved on. It is what it is, something my hubby and I are always saying when a situation is more or less out of our control. I could be very angry and harp on the issue, but to me that's completely pointless. I'd rather harp on things on how uncomfortable I am or how hot I am. You get the picture.

I also want to say that my nurse and midwife at my OB clinic are wonderful and has offered me every drug possible to clear up my "issue" and they are so sympathetic!

I don't have a question. Just wanted to share my thoughts today! :)

What can I do next?

That is a great attitude. The end of pregnancy can be so hard! I think it gets that way so that we're willing to do what is needed to pop the baby out (or have surgery to get baby out!).

As for the hemorrhoids, I'm sorry! You'll probably want to start some type of stool softener, especially for when after baby is born and you're super sore. Benefiber is helpful. Also, the witch hazel pads are very helpful for it. It will go away...most likely. I got them horribly from pushing so long/hard with my first. I had them horribly and couldn't sit normal. I get them really easy each time now when I push a baby out. It makes sitting difficult. But they have always cleared up. They don't stick around forever. (aren't you all glad to know this about me?!! hehe!) My 4th baby was a c-section (complete previa) and I didn't get hemorrhoids! It was awesome...

Anyway, good luck! I'm 28 weeks on Saturday. I'm starting to feel more uncomfortable as the days go on. Usually I'm not uncomfy until closer to 34 weeks. Maybe it's because I've had so many now? I'm not sure. Hopefully not too much longer for you!

Well luckily I haven't had hemroids, but I feel you pain about being miserable. I am 38 weeks today. We are almost there! I have been so tired the last few days. But i just push through and know it'll all be over soon. Then the real fun begins and I will be much more tired than I am now!! Good luck to you! and Congrats!

I dont know if this will offer anything to you but I remember when I was delivering my first baby (I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with baby #2) the delivering nurse was down there doing her thing and she was like oh have you always had an issue with hemmroids? Im like, great I have hemmroids too. Just add it to the pile. LOL
I had no idea that I had them but they must have been bad enough for them to notice and i did the same thing as you - it is what it is and I moved on
Thats life and really I think like 80% of women get them with pregnancy so we are the norm. Not necessarily something I would have requested but it happened so....
Good Luck and Congrats on the little one

Yay for being 37 weeks! I was 39 weeks as of yesterday, and I'm hanging in there, too. Better for the little ones to bake as long as they need. Only big bummer is the weather forecast, but I guess it just means I'll be living in the AC until the little guy makes his big debut! Wishing you a healthy and happy last few days!
