I would keep that area of the head free from hair products if possible. Fungus feeds on moisture. Keep it dry. And don't worry if your are treating her aggressively her hair will grow back. Good Luck.
I am an African American mother of a soon to be three year old daughter, who has just recenly contracted ringworm. To look at it, it doesn't seem to be a severe case of it. I recall of the week before last, her teacher informed me that she had been playing in a sandbox, getting sand all throughout her head. I thought nothing of it, until last night, I discovered hair loss. So I of course called her primary care 24he hotline. So we have an eight webek treatment to complete. My questiob for the mothers of our circle is..would it be okay to use a moisturizer in my daughter's hair, or will a moisturizer cause a negative effect Ib the healing?

I would not use any moisturizer in her hair until it is completely gone. The moisture will just prevent it from going away (kind of locking it in). Also make sure she washes her hands everytime she touches her head (you too). Ringworm spreads so fast and can become a pain in the rear. It should only take a few days to a week to go away.
You could apply a moisturizer on the rest of her hair. Perhaps a comb in one that doesn't need to be rinsed off. The ringworm does need to be kept dry and the ointment/cream left on. You don't want to rinse it off.
Know that if she touches the ring worm and then touches herself elsewhere or touches anyone else she will spread it.
To the mothers who responded to my post..Thanx a bunch. Your comments have been very helpful :)
