What is a good gift for an 11 year old girl?

You do not say what interests this 11 yr. old has...so I can only give you a generic response...BUT...ALL my kids LOVE a free SHOPPING TRIP!
My daughter (12) got a Project Runway Makeup sketch pad last year that was her favorite gift. They sell them at Learning Express but I have found similar gifts for this year on Amazon. I found an interior design sketch kit and a fashion clothes sketch kit.
I will agree that any Target or iTunes gift card would be a favorite gift. Also, the Aeropostale hoodies and bags.
My daughter loved (and still does) manicure sets, lots of nail polishes, etc. If she has an ipod, an iTunes gift card is good.
You can always get her a craft set. That age group loves to make things like bracelets. They sell sets at Hobby Lobby where you can make your own soaps, bracelets, lipgloss and even do airbrushing on your own clothes.
There is a Disney artist Victoria Justice (she has a show on TV) she is real popular now. If she doesn't already have her CD, that may be a good gift. Or if she is into Justin Beiber maybe one of his CD's. Gift cards could be OK, but I would check with the parents first. After all it's the parents that have to take her to use the gift card and some parents don't want the hassle. In fact gift cards were on the top 10 list of don'ts for kids this year. Personally I don't know why, I don't mind taking my son to use his gift cards.
I asked my 12 yr. old niece what she wanted for xmas and she said gift card to Target or an ipod gift card. Another idea would be a gift cert. for a manicure or pedicure. My niece loves getting her nails done.
