What Does Your 2Nd Grade Boy Wear to School?

OK--the weather is transitioning slowly from cold to warm (did I mention slowly?). What does your boy wear to school? Lately my son is complaining about jeans...he wants "sweatpants" (which I hate). He also likes to wear sports jerseys....a LOT. It's hard enough to find nice boys clothing that doesn't have a bunch of junk all over it. But now--no jeans? This is kind of a staple isn't it? My DD is starting Kindergarten & I'm just wondering what type of shoes your girls wear to school? DD has only been in a very casual Pre-K setting, so she could wear flip flops to that, but I know regular school isn't as flexible. Is there something stylish & functional, at the same time, that she can wear? I know some of you will probably say "Twinkle Toes" by Skechers, but, as cute as Twinkle Toes are, I won't be spending my money on them - she got them for Christmas last year & they barely made it through 4 months of very light use...

Thoughts on Hair color...and School...

I have always been "a little different", in a sense that I am not your regular "abercrombie and fitch" type of mom. I have an unusual style. What Kind of Kids Shoes Do You Buy? (2 Questions)

Do you buy your kids expensive Nike, etc... shoes or just tennis shoes from K-Mart, Target, or Wal-Mart? Also, being a parent who grew up playing sports and always having the shoes that go with that sport i.e. basketball shoes, cleats for softball and tennis shoes for just tennis I feel that it is important for my kids to also have the proper shoes. Do you as a parent just let your kids wear tennis shoes for everything or do they have specific shoes for specific sports?

Which one are you? In your opinion, what does it even MEAN to be high or low maintenance? Does your significant other care one way or the other? ***FYI I am classic LM. Shoes for 7 Yr Old Boy

Hi moms - Im looking for some back to school shoes for my 7 year old boy. He doesn't know how to tie his shoes yet... so that is an issue.
