Jazzercise is a fun, fantastic workout where you can bring your children and leave them in our child care room and just have fun with the other ladies that are there, looking and feeling just like you. Jazzercise is a FUN workout that, unlike its name might imply, does not require dance skill. It gets you moving to fun music, and allows you to work out with other women who are there to enjoy it with you. You will see the same women day in and day out, which allows you a comfort level you can't get while exercising in a big gym. The instructors at Tiffany's Jazzercise center are very friendly and knowledgeable, and they always give modifications, so women of all fitness levels can participate. If you are like me and want a good workout but get bored sweating away by yourself on the treadmill, give Jazzercise a try. It's so much fun, it shouldn't be called exercise!
I have been exercising for 30 years and two years ago I discovered Jazzercise. It is the best exercise program I have ever done. It is a great workout that always leaves me sweating and with my energy and spirits lifted. We do cardio, strength, stretching in a one-hour class that is very comprehensive and as challenging as you want to make it. The routines and sets in each class are different and there are a wide variety of class times, days, and styles to choose from. The best part is that my fellow members and instructors feel like family. We support and motivate each other and laugh and have so much fun that it makes the workout a high point of my day. I tried it once and I was hooked. So come and join us - you will be glad you did. It is the best and most fun way to exercise that I've ever found. Jazzercise is like nothing you have tried before. It is a 40 minute aerobic dance class, with a 20 minute weights/toning ending section, where every major muscle group is worked. It is a series of songs to dance to, each song with its own routine. Think Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, the Ting Tings, Fall Out Boy, Pink…even Britney’s “Womanizer”. Each class is different, too, so you are NEVER bored.
I had my second child at the age of 35 in July, 2007, and gained 45 pounds in the process. After the baby was born, I had a bunch of weight to lose and none of my cute clothes fit. I started back to Jazzercise in September, 2007, however, and not only had I lost ALL of my baby weight by April, 2008, I had toned to the point that my best friend said that I had “Kelly Ripa arms”. High praise indeed! I still go 4 times a week - not to lose weight, but to have fun for the one hour that I can relax, be silly, and dance my butt off. My above referenced best friend also started Jazzercise (at my urging) this past July, and she has dropped from a size 12 to a size 8 already (23 pound weight loss) just by going to Jazzercise 4 times a week. And she loves it!
