Business description (provided by the business owner):

*~MiSs MaRtHa’S MiNi ScHoOl has Immediate Openings!~*

I am so excited to have openings for two children that are 2 months old or older coming up on October 19th! My name is Martha Petersen, and I have been caring for children as a nanny, or out of my home for 20 years. I have always had a job working with children, and I have my degree in Child Development. I can’t think of a job that is more fun or fulfilling! I have experience with all kinds of kids in all kinds of stages. I believe in a developmentally appropriate curriculum and a Love and Logic style of parenting. We love to have fun and be creative and we act like KIDS! I have a very unique "Daycare" in Highlands Ranch, that might just be the perfect place for you and your child.

I have all of the bells and whistles of being licensed:
First Aid/CPR certification, Medication Administration certification, Universal Precautions certification, Healthy meals and snacks and ongoing education hours.
If you would like more information, please call me at 720.365.0932. I am currently setting up interviews for Wednesday and Thursday nights. Please call me for times that are available.

If we agree to an interview, I will send you my Parent Handbook via email.
Thank you!
Martha Petersen

Miss Martha has been an absolute blessing. We couldn't be happier to have found such a loving and caring person to care for our baby girl. You can be 100% comfortable with your child in Miss Martha's care.

My daughter loves Martha! She's nurturing, fun, caring and loving. Martha is a fantastic person who loves working with kids. She did a fabulous job with my daughter who was under her care for over 3 1/2 years. I have no reservations in recommending her to anyone needing a loving environment for their child.

Both my children attended Miss Martha's Mini School and still love to go when they have a day off from school.
Martha nurtured the creative side of my children and provided an environment where they felt loved and accepted.
Being a high strung parent, Martha was as much a provider for me as she was my kids. She helped me see my children in a way I had not noticed or been able to bring out in them. She was open and straight forward with her concerns and always gave me feedback about what they had done each day.
I highly recommend this daycare!

Both of my children have been part of Martha's "family". I am very sincere when I say family because Martha is way more than a babysitter- she is a co-parent. She loves my kids just like I do and although my kids are in school full time now, I still call her for parenting advise and to bounce around ideas.

My son can be a handfull and Martha handled him with ease, playing on his need to be the leader and his sense of humor. Martha treated our older daughter like a junior babysitter and she talked to her like a little adult. Our daughter adores her.

To let you know just what a special person Martha is I will tell you a story. Martha and her family came to our son's 5th bday party. We had adults, kids and a big jumper. I went looking for Martha to chat and found her in the jumper with all the kids at the party- 15+ and she had them all taking turns and having a great time. It amazes me that she can teach kids to respect boundries and each oher and never raises her voice!

I can't say enough about Martha. She has become a very close friend and will always be our 2nd Mom. Your family would be blessed to be a part of her Mini-School.

My daughter absolutely loves being with Miss Martha! Martha and I have been childhood friends for over 25 years, and I have never met another person as fun and creative! Martha interacts with children in a way that makes each child feel exceptionally important. She handles conflict so effectively that kids have amazing fun, all within the boundaries of a safe and loving environment!

I've known Martha for 7 years now. After having my daughter and just 6 weeks of maternity leave, I had to return to work. I always knew she was in such great hands and that Martha loved her like she was her own. I've now had a 2nd child and he goes to Martha's 2 days a week. I couldn't imagine my kids with anyone else. I always tell people that God brought Martha into my families life for a reason - to help me raise my kids with love, tenderness, and values. I highly, highly recommend Martha. She is not only the "mom" when I can't be around but she is also my friend. Thanks Martha - you are a blessing !!

My children are older now but absolutly LOVE "Auntie" Martha. Anytime they were in her care they came home with an adorable craft and a some sort of "silly" song or game. They love being around her and still ask when can they go and see her. I would highly recomend her to anyone. Once you meet Martha all of your worries about having to put your child in child care will go away. Sometimes I feel guilty because Martha sometimes (a lot of times) does more fun stuff with my children than I do. (She doesn't mind making a mess when cooking or doing crafts).Like Martha, I also have a college degree in Child Development so I know how hard Martha worked to get that degree and I know what classes are required for that degree and it puts my mind at ease knowing that she has that.As a child development major every aspect of a child's development from the womb to age 8 has been studied. If Martha has room in her Day Care for your child, consider yourself VERY LUCKY and sign them up before it's gone.

Martha started watching my son when he was 8 weeks old, so essentially she helped to raise him. He is a bright, charming, funny child and much of that is due in part to his experience w/Martha in her daycare. I could not be happier with the love I know that he got while I was at work every day, Martha treated him as she would a member of her own family and he grew and blossomed and turned into a wonderful child. I would recommend Martha with all my heart, she is amazing with children and provides a stimulating, loving and warm envrionment for children to learn and grow.

Martha Petersen is an AMAZING mom, teacher and care giver. She makes every child that she comes into contact with feel special. Martha is very loving and compassionate, but knows how to set fair boundaries and is consistent with her expectations for behavior. Her creativity and zest for life continue to blow my mind (this woman is AMAZING!!!). I am a VERY over-protective mom and I am completely comfortable with Martha.

Martha is AMAZING with kids. I have 4 year old twins and she watches them from time to time and I trust her 100%. My kids adore her as well and are always asking when they can go see Mr. Martha!
