So What Happened?

I had only one answer before I went to Target and the pharmacist also recommended the Zyrtec, so that is what I went with. 40 pills were $12.49. I had been taking Benedryl but that was just drying me up, so hopefully this Zyrtec will make my ears feel better :)

We have allergies that act up a lot because we live on a wooded lot and little did we know, we had allergy issues with cedar elm which is the majority of very nice trees on our lot and in the 85 acre park behind us. We refuse to leave this favorite home we built with super privacy and lots of wildlife.

After having sinus infections each fall and each spring, my daughter's pedi recommended the 24 hr Zyrtec EVERYDAY... ALL YEAR. We use the Costco version because the 3 of use take this daily.

Ever since we started taking the Zyrtec, not 1 of us have been in the Dr. office with a sinus infection... we are going on 3 yrs now. I don't know if the Zyrtec is the magic pill... we did try Claritin once and it didn't seem to help.

So if I were to recommend one or the other allergy pills, I would recommend the 24 hr Zyrtec. Daughter and I take ours in the morning and have the best relief. Hubby's work best when he takes it at night.

I would recommend taking zyrtec for a few weeks. We take it in our house for seasonal allergies and it is the only one that works and recently we had a plumbing problem and last week my son went to the doctor 3 times and the ER once with ear, throat, congestion related problems. They recommended we take a round of zyrtec since our house was treated for mold so we began taking it on Monday and we are all feeling much better, not 100% but able to function now. Good Luck

My son's allergist has him on Zyrtec. He's 5 and is also allergic to molds. The doctor recommended the store brand to save on cost. We use the Target brand and it works great.

I would say anything but Zyrtec. Besides it making my sons behavior out of control wild.....research the withdrawal symptoms on it. Many people report severe all over body itching....which was not a symptom they ever had before they started. I do have that a bit too on Allegra.

I would take Benadryl as needed in that situation. The others really work better continually taken.

What have you taken so far for it?
