Yummy Recipes to Use up a Ham Bone

I have a lovely ham bone left over from a family dinner. It's been in the freezer for a couple weeks. I'd like to make soup or stew or something with it. We aren't really into split pea soup, but bean soup is great. Any good recipes out there? Especially for the crock pot? Thanks!

There is a Cajun 15 bean soup that is awesome! The recipe is on the back of the bag. They are with the rest of the dried beans in the grocery store. It can get a little spicy, so I suggest going easy on the Rotel tomatoes with chiles. I serve it up with some fresh, crusty french bread. Mmmmmm!

15 bean soup-if you don't like the Cajun variety.

My first thought was ham and beans! Get a bag of dried beans from the grocery store, soak them over night, then follow the directions on the bag. The longer it cooks, the yummier it is!
