Hi! I live in Langhorne and am curious to know what everyone's preference for pre-schools are in our area. My daughter will be 3 in February and will be starting pre-school next September. Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Both my kids attended Just Children and we loved it. They started as infants and stayed thru Kindergarten. Excellent program for academics. Lots of field trips. Very clean and nice teachers. Never had any issues.
Good luck!

The best pre-school program I have found is CCNS which is Crossing Cooperative Nursery School in Washington Crossing (right off of 532) They just celebrated their 50 year "birthday". The staff is unmatched by any other preschool. I have three children, only the last one attended. I wish I had found it sooner.
Good Luck.

Our 3-year-old son attends A Child's World and they have a location in Langhorne. We LOVE their curriculum and he has learned SO much. I would higly recommend them.

My 2.5 year old daughter (3 in April) just started attending "Children's House of Bucks County", a Montessori school (www.chbcmontessori.com). She has literally just started there, but she really loves going. Thus far I think it really is a great school, good teacher to child ratio and a great learning environment. I also went to Montessori when I was growing up and was excited to find a school so close. It's located in Fairless Hills, on Trenton Rd.

If this sounds interesting to you, you should contact the school to arrange a visit or talk with the school director. We've had a great experience there so far!

Good luck!

I can give you my expeirence with local preschools that I have used. My daughter has a November birthday so she was older when she went. We sent her to Neshaminy High School's Nursery school program for 2 years. She really liked it because of the more individual attention. Sometimes there were more "teachers" than students. On the other hand it is not for everyone because it really exists for the high schoolers to learn and doesn't focus as much on the preschoolers individual needs. If you just want your child to learn how to interact with others, (which I believe should be the main goal for preschoolers), this is a good choice. The price is very good, around $300 for the whole school year, but they only accept kids who will turn 4 by Jan.
Since my son will not be 4 till next June, I am not able to send him there this year. I chose St James Preschool on Belleview Ave. They are a cooperative, which means about once a month you have to help out in his classroom. If you have smaller children, they have a nursery for the younger child, but you also have to spend a day in the nursery with other younger children so you end up having to spend a couple of days a month at the school.
My son is not quite as laid back as my daughter and has had some difficulty adjusting to a school routine. I don't feel that is the school's fault, but it has made the expierence different than with my daughter.
Anyway that has been my journey with preschool. I hope you get more responses so that you can make an informed decision

I also live in Langhorne. My daughter just started at Scottsville on Brownsville Road. I really didn't shop around for preschools, because all of my neighbors raved about this one. One of my neighbors is a teacher herself so I think that means alot. I am very happy with it, and from what I hear it is one of the most reasonably priced preschools in the area. They do fill up quick so if you are interested for next year I would call them to see if you can get on some sort of waiting list. First they take siblings and friends/family of current students and than it's open to anyone but they usually book up by March for the following September. They have an open house day that you can take your child to and observe before making a decision. Good luck!
