Young Teen Books by Lauren Myracle, E. Lockhart and Sarah Mlynowski

My daughter likes books by Lauren Myracle, E. Lockhart, and Sarah Mlynowski, which are like her generation's Judy Blume books. I have read some of them to know what she is reading, and for good conversation starters, and I also have enjoyed them. She wants to read more by these authors but we can't figure out which books are appropriate for a middle school reader and which would be best to wait until her later high school years. Does any one know which are their younger reader books? Which ones should we wait on because the topics are more older teen focused? Also, are there any other authors like their writing style that you (or your daughter) might recommend to an avid real middle school/young teen reader.

Thanks for your time and suggestions.

I'm not familiar with these authors, but I have found that if I read about books on amazon.com, I can learn a lot about a book. You may be able to figure out which books are appropriate and which ones aren't if you look them up on amazon.

Good luck!

Librarians are often good with these types of questions. I would go to your local library and ask, many of them offer reading lists by grade/age/reading comprehension etc.

I agree with Kristina M, librarians ARE a great resource for these types of questions, as are your daughter's English teachers.
In the meantime just go on amazon and look at the reviews, LOTS of great advice there as well!!!
