Hey ladies~ I have a Medela pump n style breastpump that I've used for a couple years. Is it ok to try and sell it? It has the warning on that says it should only be used by one woman...but if I don't sell it, what do I do with it now that I'm not using it any more? Just curious as to your thoughts. Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you soo much ladies...based upon your responses, I sold the pump today on Craigslist to a mom-to-be! She was sooo appreciative since the price of a new one is several hundred dollars. Thank you for giving me the assurance I needed. I love mamasource!

I bought mine used. I couldn't afford it any other way... so believe me, someone out there will be happy to buy it from you. I had to buy new accessories, of course, but that was no big deal and just got them from the hospital.

Absolutely! Sell it, and don't worry about the one woman thing...it is a marketing ploy - take it from me...I'm a marketing exec.

The pumps are a closed system, milk doesn't go into the pump as you know, so the new user just needs to buy new tubing and flanges, etc.

Also, if you have a hard time selling it for any reason, consider donating it to a doula or birth coach or going to a la leche league meeting and offering it to somebody there - you'll be amazed at how many people would want it.

I bought my second pump on e-bay and got the accessories from the hospital. I think the tubing and stuff that touches is what needs to be new, the pump is just a machine.

I sold mine on ebay!! I'd do it. I also borrowed one from a friend. As long as it's sanitized, no biggie

I sold my Medela on e-bay for more than I paid for it. (because I got a great online deal)
I had a lot of extras, but also a pair of new tubes (which don't cost that much). Do it! I really wanted to burn it, but hey I made money instead! ;-)

I sold mine too and advised the person to buy all new tubing I also loaned mine out and had the person buy the tubing stuff so it's fine-and who doesn't need the money?
