I am currently earning an additional stream of income, along side my current profession. I have a 2 yr old, I stayed home with her until she was 15 mos. I also looked for someway to make money so I could continue to stay at home. Unfortuantely time had run out and I HAD to return to work. I definately know what you mean. There is a lot of crap out there, trust me, I came across it. However there are several home businesses, some geared towards moms, that are legit. The main thing is that you find something that you believe in and that fits into your life with your husband and your children. Oh yeah... and you of course! LOL!!!!

I work at home, in my pajamas sometimes, with my daughter at my side. I have the support from many other moms which is great for my bank account and for my mental health. Ha ha! If you are interested let me know.

My name is Z. and I live near Miami Lakes. I am a stay-at-home/work-at-home Mom of a 4-year-old boy named Jordan.
I work part-time from home and have now for the past 3 years.

My recommendation is to pick up the book called The Stay at Home Moms Guide to Making Money from Home. It's by Liz Folger, she also has a Website: www.bizymoms.com . With that book it will give you a lot of ideas of ways you can make money from home using your current skills. I wouldn't sign up to sell anything like soap, make-up, etc. People offer those because they make money off signing your up, but you will end up making peanuts for all your hard work. Put your skills to use doing something you can make some decent money at and don't have to put a bunch of money out to start with. That book is filled with ideas. I don't know you skills, but it has ideas like staring a secretarial business from home, freelance writing or graphics, taking in another child to babysit, tutoring kids, etc.

I joined a buying group. I like it because I can make money consistently. I don't have to inventory a ton of stuff and I only buy things I use anyways. Laundry soap, dish soap, vitamins, shampoo, cereal, makeup etc. There products are concentrate and 100% guaranteed. So for me it was a no brainer. I keep toxic chemicals away from me and my babies, these are all things we buy anyways, I shop at a different store and they are delivered to my door. I save time, and money, and by telling my friends and family about this company they pay me when my friends shop. I get my groceries for free now and I have not actively worked this as a business. The girl ahead of me makes her mortgage payment and a 500$ car payment! Let me know if you want more info. Amy

I was a school teacher for 8 years, had two little girls adn decided to be a stay at home mom. I didn't look for a home based business but one came to me. I own an online travel website. S., do you notice most of these replies don't tell you exactly what they do but contact me, or call me or everyone else out there is a scam except for the company i work for. . .most of these businesses are just that, sign up people so they get their own commission.
if i were you i'd find a placement agency to find you a part time job which most likely will require you go out of your home.

There are many to choose from and many smaller jobs which can help with the purse strings. You do not have to contact me personally as my list does include direct applications links and pertinent infomation such as pay.

Yuwie is a website similar to facebook and myspace but in this instance when people look at your profile you get paid. It's small but helps when you really dont have to do anything.

You don't want to burn out quickly which can happen when working on the phones. So I have a few smaller eggs in my basket until I find the 'big' one!
