So I dont know if this is going to get removed or not. I was wondering what you women do to make money. I have been trying to get a job for a yr and nothing. I have an ad out for babysitting in my home.... I check all the websites I can find but all are MLM's and I suck at selling. I have tried Avon and Scentsy but have gone no where... Any advice???
I've posted questions like this before, just wanted to see if you had any good responses. One thing that drives me nuts is when someone suggests to work for Work At Home United and doesn't tell you what they do. Only what they don't do. I hope you find something that works great for you. The laundry idea is great.
Do you need to work from home or can you travel to homes? I would place an add on Craigslist offering yourself to clean houses, do laundry, make dinners for working families and deliver them weekly. Get creative and see what comes about! If you can't leave the house, offer to have a "drop off" service where people can drop off their laundry on a specific day by a certain time and then pick it up two days later. Find out what the local services are charging and then adjust accordingly.
ebay and craigslist.
sell the items you no longer need or want in your home. Then you can go to stores and look through the clearance racks and even go to Goodwill or AmVets and purchase things there that are in good shape and resell them on ebay and craigslist.
Go to craigslist and look for jobs there as well. Look for telecommuting positions and things in your field. You might be surprised at what you find!!

First of all nothing legit is going to get you rich quick and SO MANY of the MLM's have so many beautifully crafted sales pitches saying they are not MLM, BLAH BLAH
What are you good at? what do you like to do? Get creative and think outside the box.
We run our company from home and I have a bookkeeper who helps me on occasion and she is an at home mom, with computer and good accounting skills. We do everthing over email and phone. If you are good at clerical things, a sales rep often needs help and can use someone who works from home because he does too.

I now work from home after spending 10 yrs working at my corporate america career. I wanted to stay at home with my 2 boys. I also looked far and low for a 'at home' job (I am not 'crafty' and I don't have a ton of extras to sell) and finally landed on this one, which is now my career. I would love to share what I do with you. I am currently working with a few mommas who previously sold Avon and also weren't making any money due to having to use their gas to deliver catalogs and products. What if you didn't have to stock, deliver, take orders, etc.? I love candles and makeup and lotions- but at the end of the day, none of those things are necessities and definitely not something I need to spend money on each month! So it IS hard to make an income from those sorts of products! Feel free to check out my website, or msg me for more info. (This is not an MLM- an MLM focus's on recruiting individuals- that is where the main source of your income is from- and doesn't have products that compete for market shares.)

I have worked as an independent contractor for Cultural Care Au Pair as a Local Childcare Coordinator for the past 5 years. It is legit, decent money & 95% from home. What are you good at? What do you like to do? I highly recommend that you find something that you own, not reselling for another company. What types of jobs have you been looking for? This information might help us figure out what you might be interested in doing on your own. In my family, three of us own our own companies. We love the flexibility, the ability to accept or reject particular jobs, setting our own hours, etc. One of us owns an aerospace company, another a web solutions company, and another a custom vinyl lettering company. We each have different gifts. We are encouraging our other children to develop areas of interest and start their own businesses. We do not want to be reliant upon other companies or the government for work. We go out and get it ourselves. Entrepreneural opportunities are vast. You just have to think outside the box. Don't go looking for what other people have to offer you in this area. Think about what you can offer others. My son's business is growing so much, he is hiring people to work for him, and by next month, he is hiring a personal assistant. He's 18. You can do this.
