I would like to get some of those cute family stickers (mom, dad, child, cat, etc.) for my back car window and was wondering where the best place is to buy them. I have not seen them in any store and most online stores seem to charge an arm and a leg plus shipping! What can you recommend?

So What Happened?

Thank you for your advice, Everyone! I think some of you are a bit too paranoid for my tastes, but to each his or her own! LOL I bought some at Babies R Us and can't wait to stick them on my car. My kids are always with me when we drive in the van so I don't see how a predator would use those against him in some way.

I agree with Amanda H also! I think they are really cute too but would never use them. But, I also never used any of the cute signs for when you bring baby home either. Maybe I am paranoid but better safe then sorry!

I wouldn't get them from a safety standpoint. Depending on how young your child is, a stranger could come up to your child already knowing the members of your family to get your child to trust them and leave with them. Some people even put their names underneath the stickers, which I completely don't understand. This day and age you can never be too careful. Just my opinion.

I completely agree with Amanda H. - I would never put them on my car, as cute as they are - and I do think they are cute, especially the baby and dogs. Just another tool that a predator can use to gain trust in a child. What purpose do they serve? Maybe they would be good in a car accident, but that is all.

Positively,
M.

Check etsy.com. Do a search for car window decals or something similar. I believe those were the search words I used once when looking at them, and there were a lot of listings and I thought they were reasonably priced, but havent actually compared them to other places.

I agree with Amanda, never put your names on your car or your kids names where strangers can read them. I think it isn't a big deal to have the stickers themselves, but I wouldn't even put dogs and cats on there because it gives strangers an opening to talk about.
