Maybe he doesnt notice her fussing and she falls back to sleep on her own?
I went back to work a week ago...my boyfriend and I work opposite schedules so one of us is always home with our 2 girls. Our 2 1/2 month old daughter will not nap for me at all. We have had the same routine since she was born where we will wrap her up, turn on her sound machine, and lay her down in her crib. Since I've gone back to work she will only nap for 15-20 minutes then wakes up fussing. I will go in the room give her back her binky and she will start to dose off again...only to wake up again in 10 mins. When she is home with her dad she naps for 2-3 HOURS at a time consistently. No kidding.
He has the same routine as well and I can't figure out why she won't nap for me...Any ideas?

When my daugter was a baby she never took naps. If she did it was only for 20-30 min. That situation can be so hard! After about 9 months she finally started taking real naps. At bed time we still have some problems with me putting her down. (she is almost 2) I can fight with her for an hour ut daddy will come and she'll go to sleep in 5 min. I know that doesn't help other than knowing it is normal sometimes. I hope she starts sleeping better soon. Have you tried cuddling with her when she does that? She is stil little and maybe just needs some extra time with you.
I think men have some sort of "nap magic". My husband and my daughter napped together often, or he got her to sleep so much easier than I did. For many months when he worked across the street from her daycare, everyday he went over to visit her at lunchtime, and he would put the whole daycare class down for their nap!! The daycare teachers loved him.
Maybe she's fighting sleep because she isn't used to you being gone and is afraid to miss time with you when you are home? I'd stick to the schedule and see if it passes.
