Wait a few days, to a week and test again. If you don't want to be pregnant, this is not an effective method of prevention. Juts becuase you've gone 4 years, does not mean it's a form of birth control.
i had unprotected sex the day after my last period which i have been doing for like 4 years and never got pregnant before, and now (a month later) my period is 2-3 days late and i had a negative pregnancy test. so does that mean its correct? because i would be a month pregnant if i was pregnant. my periods every now and then are late 2 days but its rare it goes 3 days. could it just be stress cause all day i think about it!

I read an article years ago that the best time to conceive is within the first 10 days AFTER your period. That's how I got pregnant with baby # 2, #3, and now #4. You could be pregnant but not have enough levels of HCG (pregnancy hormone) to be detected by the test. Also, first urine of the day is the BEST time to test for pregnancy since the urine is most potent then. I wouldn't worry that it's 3 days late. You don't mention how old your are but age can affect our menstrual cycles.
wait a few more days a test again--you could be pregnant. You can get pregnant during your period so you could certainly get pregnant right after your period. I was trying to conceive with my first child and had just gone off BC. My period never came and I was concerned I was infertile...I was pregnant but had two neg. results on pregnancy tests before getting a positive one...Give it a couple more days and retest. If you need to know immediately--go to an obgyn

And make sure you are testing your urine first thing in your morning--has the most preggo hormone in it.
Everyone's cycle changes even those who get them exactly 28 days. I know that when I am under stress, I am late. If you are sure you only had sex the day after, you should be ok.
If you still don't start within a week, test again just be sure but a blood test is much more accurate. Good luck...maybe you might want to look into some other birth control options? I mean..if you don't want to get pregnant right now.
Yup... stress can completely stop a period for months at a time. Ditto dieting. As can pregnancy.
Although not likely, it's possible to get pregnant having sex the day after, especially if you bleed for 6-8 days. Also, is your cycle exactly the same number of days each month, which is extremely rare? Most women vary by a few days. Therefore, you should wait until you're at least a week late before taking a pregnancy test, preferably 10 to 14 days.
I would test again in a couple days. Im pregnant and had a false negative with this pregnancy. Luckily I bought the two pack, took the other one a couple days later and it was positive.
You are probably lucky you haven't gotten pregnant already. Yes, it's typical to ovulate mid-cycle, but it's also possible to ovulate at any time in your cycle. My normal cycle is between 32-35 days. I got pregnant after having sex TWO DAYS after I stopped bleeding. Which for me would have been about day 6 of my cycle. Thankfully, my husband and I were trying to get pregnant.
Unless you want to have a child, I would suggest that you use a much better form of birth control.
