My middle 2 didn't get there first tooth until after they were a year old. My 2 almost 3 year old is just now cutting her 1 year old molars. My 7 month old hasn't cut any yet either but it is now something I don't worry about.
I have 14 month old twins and neither of them have teeth yet! I don't know if I should be concerned. . .the doctor told me not to worry about it. Has anyone else had problems with late teeth coming in?

If you have twins, they probably didn't go to 40 weeks. Factor in the "full term" date and it will get closer the when the teeth will come in. My daughter was born at 36 weeks and didn't get teeth until she was 14 mo. old then got 7 teeth in 5 weeks. Be careful what you wish for...those 5 weeks were not fun!!!
Don't worry, they will come! It all comes eventually!
I just want to follow-up one what others are saying in that they will come. I didn't get any teeth until I was almost two. To this day, I still have baby teeth, lol! My son is 13 months and he got his first bottom two around 9 months and then nothing until last week. Now I can feel teeth breaking through everywhere (poor baby). You will be surprised at what they can gum down. My son barely has the front top two in and he can bite with them. Hang in there!
I have a friend that says all of her kids got their teeth late. One of her daughters did not have teeth until she was 2.5. Your doctor can tell you what's up.
My daughter was almost 18 months old before she got any teeth and her daughter was almost as old. Not having teeth never stopped either of them from eating anything, they both learned to gum things that they wanted to eat. I took my daughter to the dentist (of course this was 30 years ago), but they told me as long as she get them by the time she is 2, they don't worry. My daughter did the same thing and they told her the same thing. As a previous posted stated, they do loose their baby teeth later, and in my experience, both my daughter and my granddaughter have beautiful strong teeth (my grandson lost his first tooth in kindergarten, granddaughter almost a year and a half older than her brother). I wouldn't worry about it, know that they will come in when they are ready, and if I remember correctly, they come easier than the babies that get them sooner in life. Good luck!
One of my twins was 14 months before she got her first and she seemed to be my easiest teether. Maybe the same will be true for you.
my daughter was 13 months before she got her first tooth, & i was 15 months. they will come
There is a benefit to teeth coming in late - it's not uncommon - the later the baby teeth come in, the later the permanent teeth come in so they are better at taking care of them and accidents are less likely to happen. Don't worry, it will happen. My son started signs of teething, drooling and such, at 2 months but didn't get the teeth until well after a year old.
It is actually not a problem, later teeth are supposed to be stronger. My kids were both 14 months, the downside is that they will also not lose them until later, so have them prepped that they won't make the "I lost a tooth" board in Kindergarten!
