Whats the Secret to Crayon Removal???

WD-40 works great on walls, tables, etc. Shout is my favorite stain remover for clothes. Good luck!

Try making a paste out of baking soda and water, you want it to be kind of thick paste. Then just apply it with a rag or sponge. You might have to scrub a little but it should work on just about everything. If that doesn't work try Mr. Clean magic erasers, those work great for lots of things.

For the walls, try the magic erasers. When my youngest was two there weren't magic erasers and he drew on my walls with an ink pen and crayons. I used a regular pencil eraser then washed the walls down. Good luck.

As I read the responses, I agree that Magic Eraser does get off crayon from walls and hard surfaces but if you need something for those soft items, material and so forth, "Goo Be Gone" is awesome. Don't spray it around kids because it has a fume type or strong chemical smell.

The magic eraser works wonders on removing everything. Just make sure you don't let your children play with it. I read a while back where it isn't safe for the kids to handle it. I use it on rough texture doors that my husband gets grease on and nothing else even comes close to removing this.
Not sure if this would work on clothes.

I have a 16 month old who used our walls as his canvas on one occasion. I had some Mr Clean Magic Erasers on hand and the crayon came off like it was never there. That product is great for getting pretty much anything off anything! I buy the Target brand which is just as good. As for clothes, I haven't had to get crayon out yet, but I have friends who swear by the oxyclean laundry products. Worth a try!

Mr Clean Magic Erasor will take crayon off pretty much everything, especially walls, but I am not sure about clothes.

Well, oh some surfaces try Magic Eraser...it works well on most. That's the only thing I know of. Hope it helps!

I have heard and recently bought the "Magic Eraser " by Mr. Cleaner, works wonders on almost anything. A mom of 4 told me she uses it for everything. Sorry I'm not sure how to get crayon out of clothes. They say the twos are terrible, but when they reach teenagers (still an enjoyable age) you miss the younger stages. Hi! I don't know the secret to crayon removal but, if time and finances permit, there is a special chalkboard paint that you could use instead. I am thinking of making an area on the wall and frame it and then paint inside the frame with the chalkboard paint. That way my daughter can use that one specific area for writing and drawing.

Go to home depot or Lowe's and get "goof Off" or "Goo Be Gone" they take out everything, even red nail polish off a white carpet.... occassionally you can find these at the dollar store as well. Also letting your 2 year old help clean up the mess might help. It worked with my kids as a deterant for future occurrances. I also suggest swapping out all the current crayons with washable ones. Goo Be Gone-- works GREAT on crayon!

I have had some success removing crayon from fabric by scraping off what you can with a knife and then using a wet towel and hot iron. You place the wet towel over the spot and then iron. You have to keep moving the towel around because some how the steam lifts the wax and stuff and it will become dirty. You have to repeat the process over and over... it's a little time consuming but it works very well on most fabrics I have tried includging the seats in our car where those terrible restaurant crayons melted in the sun! The magic eraser works on everything I even removed Sharpie markers from my butcher block table with it. It really is "magic"!

try the mr clean magic eraser!

MR.CLEAN sponge erasers. Those things are amazing at getting crayon off flat wall paint, plastic toys, and glass tables. I'm not sure about clothing.

If it's fabric, with your iron set to the appropriate temp., place a paper towel down on the ironing board, then the clothing then place another paper towel over that. Press, checking the item as you go.

Walls, wallpaper: plain white toothpaste and a soft old toothbrush, wipe off with a soft clean barely damp cloth.

Painted walls, ceramic tile, wood: Goof Off, follow directions on can, can be purchased where painting supplies are sold.

Plastic or vinyl coated refrig doors: toothpaste or hairspray, wipe off with damp clean soft cloth.

With all of these sugesstions, try an inconspicuous spot first.

Mr Clean Magic eraser. This works on everything I've tried from tv's, computer monitors, and walls. You should keep the crayons out of reach if you can.

try WD-40 From what I remember it advertises that is takes off Crayon. Also Amway's Pursue Disinfectant cleaner does too.

The Magic Eraser!!! It really gets crayon marks off plastic furniture, the fridge, wood furniture, walls, and any other hard surface you can think of. But be careful. If you have never used the magic eraser before, be aware that it can be addicting. After using it on the first marks, you could find yourself not able to stop. LOL

Isn't amazing how you can clean EVERYWHERE and not find that one missing crayon, but yet 5 minutes later, you find them coloring the furniture with that missing crayon!! Both my boys have done that; very aggravating!! I swear by the washable crayons; only brand i've bought! Someone once told me that dryer sheets, unused, will take crayon out of everything!! I've seen the 'Mr Clean Magic Eraser' take crayon out as well; but you need to be careful on painted surfaces, as it will take the paint off as well. Good luck!!

Well....Lestoil is what I've been told. And i've used it on most things and it works, but it's a little tricky with clothes...that is once a crayong has gone through the dryer it may be impossible. HOWEVER, I would put Lestoil directly on crayon damage on the clothes, try to rub it in and let it saturate and soak there for 24 hours and try to wash it again. If it is still there, but lighter, don't dry it, just repeat the process. Lestoil can be hard to find, but little country stores often have it, and i did see it in Foodland.

Have you tried Goo Gone? It works on crayons. It may not be safe on every surface (you'll have to test it), but it may get some of it cleaned up for you. Also, you may want to make sure he only gets the Washable Crayola crayons until he learns where to and not to color. Good luck!

Two words, darlin! CRAYOLA WASHABLES! My two-year old sounds like yours. You will love these, and if you two year old is indeed like mine, he will find them delicious as well. In all seriousness, I keep her crayons up and give them to her one at a time, or let her color when I can be on hand to supervise.

the only thing I know of is a razor blade. scrape the crayon off. crayon is only wax and pigment.

Hi Cricket. I use a great product called Sol-U-Mel, that I get from Melaleuca. It gets out lots of stuff, including crayon and permanent marker. It is a wonderful product, worth it's weight in gold for moms with toddlers.
