I just don't ever hear anything about them anymore.

Is these group still in existence? Are there still meetings?

Just curious....

Or is this yesterday's news now?

What can I do next?

News Commentators still mention the Tea Party. I don't pay much attention and so can't tell you which ones. Yes, they're still active!

Just because they aren't on the news anymore doesn't mean they have disappeared. They have actually got some into power to actually make some changes. They have gone to the source. And yes there are still meetings all over.

Edit: And to those who think the Tea Party is an extreme far right group, they are wrong. Saying that is like saying the Constitution is a far-right document and it's not. The Tea Party wants our country to operate WITHIN the boundaries of the Constitution.

Yes. We are still around. We are working at talking with the elected officials, paying attention to what is going on on The Hill, paying attention to TAXES...because that's what the TEA party stands for - Taxed Enough Already.

The people who want the Tea Party gone are the same people who want wealth spread and entitlement programs to continue in their corrupt manner.

We don't "rally" as much - that's not necessary as the momentum was gained and "membership" went up...so now that we HAVE A VOICE, united in what we want, we meet and discuss actions. VERY civilized and grown up....we pick up after ourselves, we don't expect hand outs and we get together in an organized fashion.

Yea, we're still around. Not going anywhere either.

I think it has moved, in large part, online. The Tea Party Patriots have a very active Facebook page.

I also tend to think that they are strategizing for 2012. I think they will begin to re-emerge once Michelle Bachmann officially drops out of the GOP race.

ETA: They also seem to have moved indoors with local chapters meeting. In my area there are actually a few meetings occuring tonight.

The Tea Party Rallies are a thing of the past because they achieved the goal, get into power. They took the populist route to put like minded people into elected positions. Now they work within the system to put pressure on elected officials. The Tea Party Platform is the reason GOP nominees are breaking thier neck to see how far to the right they can go. The Tea Party is no longer a movement, they are now a legitimate extreme conservative political faction. I say this all with a sick respect. I absolutely do not agree with them at all, but I wish we had the cajones and organization to accomplish what they have.

What a spooky Halloween question! Oh...they're out there...lurking..

Actually, I think Tracy K is right. They got off the street and into power. But the newbie uber rightie players aren't boding well in office in my opinion. I have moderate Republican friends who don't like the Tea Party at all and are frustrated with the mockery they are making of the GOP.
