What Would You Pay? Stroller Question.

I have a Quinny Buzz that I'm looking to sell, but not sure what's realistic to expect for it.
The stroller retails for $650. The frame is used, but all of the attachments are brand new, and most of them retail between $50-100.
I have: the bassinette attachment, rain shield, bug shield, foot muff, universal car seat adapter, and additional storage pack that attaches at the bottom.

Just tyring to get a realistic feel of what I can ask for all of this.

What can I do next?

I understand it is high end and that a lot of the attachments etc are brand new but buying second hand means no warranty and just from my perspective I could not see myself paying more than $200 for a stroller unless I had to buy a specialty stroller ( special needs stroller for a much larger child)
I would say start by asking what you want to get out of it...$350? And be willing to come down/ negotiate. You would probably have better luck selling it on ebay if you are looking to get more money from it. Do you have any friends who are getting ready to have a baby? Family members? Sometimes that makes it easier if it is someone you know and they are in the market.
Lots of luck!

I'd ask for $300, if it's all in like-new condition and no more than 2 years old, but I'd be willing take $200. If the stroller frame shows a lot of wear, ask for $200, but be willing to take less. Good luck!

You might want to take a few trips to a consignment shop, perhaps. In the city I'm sure you could find plenty of parents looking for a deal on your stroller, not wanting to pay full price but willing to shell out a little more than if you tried to take it to Once Upon A Child (don't even bother with them for this stroller; they would have no clue).

Since your stroller is a high end one, it might be worth the trip to look in Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Gold Coast, Wicker Park or even perhaps Evanston, Wilmette, Glencoe, or Winnetka.

Sorry I can't offer you a dollar value of what to ask but maybe you'll have better luck selling your (awesome :) ) high end stroller in a high end market? Best wishes to you!

Probably 350. What model is it (buzz 1, 2, 3, or 4). I wouldn't go lower than 250.

People buying used want a deal and don't care so much that something was a premium brand when purchased. We sold very expensive crib bedding and only got the same as what people were selling for generic bagged Babies R Us sets. Tried getting more for the set but it didn't sell until we dropped the price way down.

Take a look on Craigslist and see if anyone is selling a similarly high end stroller and price from there.

I have seen what you describe, including attachments, sell for about $150-$350.

Where are you selling it? This will affect what you can get as well.

I suggest starting out asking a little high - you can always lower the price if you don't get any bites, or the buyer may want to negotiate down prior to purchase.

I would be willing to pay $250 and up, but that is me.

Good luck!

I shop a lot of consignment sales so I'm used to buying used. Honestly 30-50% of new price is reasonable. So if you have $1000 worth of stuff you will get between $300-$500. I hope this helps. I always buy my baby gear used because I can sell it later for about what I payed. If you buy new you just accept that you won't get a return on investment.

Friends had a Mountain Buggy Urban double stroller, used it for 2 kids and put it on Craig's list for $200 -- immediately got about 10 buyers. Found out others were selling it for $300 and up, no attachments. Check Craig's List and/or eBay and see what other similar strollers are going for. I'd list it on something like Craig's List because it's easy - they come to you and pick-up and you get full price. Consignment stores give you 50% or less, so even if they think they could sell it for $400, you'll only get $200 or less. I'd ask for what you want given all the attachments and see what happens. Take nice photos and give descriptions. You might sell it within minutes like my friends. If you don't get takers, you can reduce the price. I bet there's someone out there that would like that calibre of stroller and would be thrilled to get it for a couple hundred less. Good luck!
