A.C.
I drive the bus, so I'll be bringing up to 82 kids to and from school. I think I'll take a nap in between runs :)
Tomorrow is my kids' 1st day of school and I'll be cleaning this house from top to bottom ALL DAY. I'm so excited! What will you be doing on the 1st day of school? If your kids are already in school, what DID you do?

my kids start their 3rd week of school tomorrow.
first Monday they went back I pretty much sat and read all day, it was fabulous!
I can tell you what I WONT be doing....cleaning the house from top to bottom!!! LOL
I still have about 3 weeks to go before school starts, but I will probably be sitting at home with my 8 month old fretting. My kids are going to a new school and my middle child is starting kindergarten so I am a tad nervous for them.
L.
I will be doing...
the HAPPY DANCE!!!
I definitely didn't clean all day, I've got plenty of days to do that. I worked out for an hour and a half, had lunch with no one harping at me, then got a pedicure. Then the last hour I had sat and watched a show I had taped.
Basically I stroll out of my room, have some coffee, plan for the day, and start directing my homeschoolers. :)
We are NOT starting school until after Labor Day - wahoo!
I volunteer with the PTA so it will be a busy day for me. I will send kids off to school with hugs, kisses and high fives for a great first day. I am also putting on a breakfast for the teachers and staff and doing special orientations with snacks for the a.m. then the p.m. kindergarten parents.
We will then have a special dinner and dessert later as a family and talk about all the first day of school adventures. Our baby is heading off to kindergarten so a whole new world is opening up to him. We love public school in our home..it's got its good points and bad points...we focus on the good and make the best of it. I think attitude has everything to do with your experience. Our kids are excited to go back to school...and boy am I excited for them..hee...hee!
Now the second day of school will be more relaxing. I will come home...have some tea and read a book for awhile. I will then go do some work in my veggie garden and call some friends. I might even go see a movie all by myself this week..or with a couple gals.
Happy first day tomorrow!!
My daughter's first full day of school (1st grade) is Wednesday. I'll put her on the bus, come in and clean up from breakfast, take a shower and get ready, then I have class (I'm a college student), come home, have lunch, clean out my desk while my husband goes to mow my mom's grass, get my daughter off the bus, spend some time with her, start dinner and then head back to school for my English Comp 2 class, and then come home and get ready for the next day. Whew.
I am going back to school too! But, on tuesday morning my friends and I are going to breakfast to celebrate that the kids are in school. LOL!
Sitting on the couch with my daughter, going through her supplies, putting together a plan, and hopefully having some laughs as we start to figure out this years homeschool goals. We are throwing all caution to the wind this year and putting together our own curriculum with a lot of family involvement.
I am SOOOOOOO jealous!! i have 17 more days until school starts!!!
My husband is still under my feet so I have to wait until Mid September and I will be doing spring cleaning!!! in the fall!!!
Even thought it's only three hours I'll be doing sand angels on the playground. He's only four and I can't WAIT for him to go back to school. He loves school and seeing his friends. Little does he know he'll be in a new classroom but closer to the bathroom.
Noramally I do errands when he's in school but I think I may just come home and take a nap after my husband leaves for work.
I will be a mess all day, but a lot of my friends have their little ones going too for the first time so we have decide to meet at my house from breakfast and coffee together!!! :(
My kid is starting kindergarten so I'll be the mom w/her faced pushed up against the classroom window, crying big tears :(
I hope I survive 1st day of school.
My kids don't go back til Sept.7th....and I know exactly what I will be doing: Crying!
I booked a massage and facial at a spa with a friend whose son started
kindergarten today too. Figured we'd be a mess and useless at work so
might as well go to the spa. ;)
My son is a freshman and I will miss him!
My one & only, my DD started K last Monday... I cried, was sad & sick to my stomach all day. I probably should've made plans, in retrospect, but I was in no condition to try to be social. Oy.
Teaching :D
I homeschool
Taking my 16 year old to get her wisdom teeth removed (she goes to a private school which doesn't start until Sep 1).
I will go teach an exercise class, then go to the lake with a friend to water ski. Later, I do a session with a couple of my personal training clients.
My oldest left for college this afternoon. He is a sophmore. My younger son starts his senior year tomorrow.
Hoping to get out the door on time to catch the bus and then off to work I go.
I'll be working with our company we run from home and cleaning house!! I'll have the house to myself, Whoo hoo
That is in another 3 weeks for me. Kids and I are going overseas tomorrow. We will miss first week of school. Then on the day they do go back I shall clean oh my good and organize clothes.I feel like everything is out of place.
laundry and working on my web site.
I am a school bus driver so I will be returning to work.
I volunteer at the middle school the first 2 days to help the new 6th graders learn how to open their lockers and navigate to all their classes! I have been doing that for 5 years now so my first couple days are super busy! It is so much fun and those kids really love the help! My oldest is in 10th grade and today when I dropped him off I realized it was my last time to drive him to school on the first day of school!! Next year he will drive himself -- tears welled up today --so next year i KNOW I will be thankful I have something to do to keep my mind off it!!!

I'll be teaching too. I'm a home schooling Mother.
I'll be working just like any other day.
Collecting data, making my reports, attending conference calls, etc.
I work at home, my husband goes off to work and my son will get on the bus.
Mondays (or Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday) is usually my quietest day at work but it's really quiet and kind of lonely when my guys are all out doing what they've got to do.
I miss them and look forward to when everyone is home again for supper.
