My 10 year old asked for a tetherball set. I found a great one at Academy sports for $23. Everywhere else they were $50.
My family is quite large on my dad's side so we draw names for Christmas... I drew my ten year old cousin who I know nothing about. My grandmother said that he likes puzzles and scooby doo and that is all I know. does anyone know what 10 year old boys like nowadays?? I can only spend $20-30

Buy him some Legos. Most little boys love them and they will keep him busy making all kinds of neat things.
I have a 10 year old and he hasn't liked scobby doo for years. I would suggest asking the child's mother or father as they will know best. If he is into video games he most likely has a Nintendo DS, you can buy used games for that at Games Stop for about $10-$20 and they work great. A lot of boys his age are getting into science stuff, they have pretty cool science toys that they can make gross stuff like fake vomit and bugers (10 year old boys love gross stuff!). If he is into sports the Discovery store has awesome digital laser sport balls, a baseball you can throw that tells you how many mph you threw the ball, a football that tells you how many yards you threw it, soccer and so on. So to sum it up science, sports, video games. Good Luck.
Our JC Penny's in Waxahachie has a build toy that stands nearly 2.5' feet tall - dinosaur that roars. It is on sale I think for $30-$40. Almost bought for my son but he is only 6. Way cool and awesome gift for a kid that likes puzzles - this is kind of like robotics and k'nex learning. Not sure any left - should call before driving out.
It usually sells for $70-80.
Oh - also CVS sells those flip cars for $10.
Hi T.:
I have a 9-year-old boy. I know all children are different, but, here are a few things I bought for him this year and/or in the past. A pogo stick (Toys R Us sells them for under $30), anything Star Wars, anything football or baseball (including tee-shirts), gift card to Game Stop (if your cousin has a game system), skate board (many under $30), musical instruments (Toys R Us has a great selection), "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" books (ALL the kids in the 4th grade LOVE these books. They are funny, age appropriate and easy reads. Not to mention there are currently 3 books in the line, which will keep him reading!), Scene It? DVD game (Toys R Us has these for Nikelodeon shows for $10 or Disney $30 - great fun to play with his friends).
I am only guessing that your cousin liked Scooby Doo at some point a few years ago, like when he was 6... Grandma's sometimes stick with things for a while!
Good luck. Remember, you can always call and ask him what he wants. I'm sure he'll give you a looooong list!
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family!
My 10 yr old son loves tech decks. They are small (4" or so) finger skateboards sold at walmart, toysrus, etc. There are also ramps, rails, and skate park pieces you can buy to go with them.
He also likes movies, board games, cards, dominoes, etc. Oh and also, my dad found him a paper airplane book that came with directions to make 50 different airplanes and the paper to make them. We have really enjoyed this.
I hope some of these help. Merry Christmas!!!
I have some great games in my inventory for that age from Discovery Toys. I'm also having a 20% off sale this weekend. If you dont come up with anything pm me and ill let you know what I have.
Gift cards are always good at that age-Game Stop, Target, Walmart, movie theatre, Blockbuster, as bookstore, etc.
My nephew loves gift cards, cash, and video game stuff...
Gift cards or cash!!!
If he likes puzzles, I would get a Lego. The Star Wars and Mars Mission are hugely popular at my house.
Get him a Walmart gift card so he can shop and get what he wants. Kids these days are really hard to shop for, as most of them have everything they would ever need or want.
I got my 11 year old grandson the National Georgrphic Remote control Tarantula. There are all kind of NG toys @ Target. I am sure he would like one of them and the are right @ $20.
Merry CHRISTmas and God bless!
If you can find out if he has an IPOD or MP3 player then an ITUNES gift card would be a great idea. My boys (12,16,19) and even my hubby LOVE getting ITUNES cards. We are also getting them for my niece and nephew (ages 10,12).
Merry Christmas!
D.
I am also going to say legos. We have 4 children and I get so tired of all the "toys" that just end up being junk and discarded - but legos are always a hit. Not only are they fun, they can reuse them and make new things over and over, plus it keeps them being creative and using their brain instead of staring at a video game for hours!
Good luck and Merry Christmas!
If he has a DS Light you can get Scooby Doo DS game for 14.99 to 30.00 at Toys R Us or Target. There are also other games within that price range. A gift card to Toys R Us might be fun as well. Or one to Target. Kids love to go shopping right after Christmas even when they are showered with gifts. I guess that is a kid thing. There are also ton's of cool puzzles out there. Target has 3 dimensional puzzles.
T.,
My 10 year old is very into Bakugan right now. They can be found at Wal-mart, Target and Toys-R-Us. If you buy them indidually, they are $5.00 each and come with battle cards. They also have tins of them for $19.99 at Target, that is a tin of 6 of them.
Good Luck.
Dear T.,
There are some really cool 3D puzzles out now. My 10 year old grandson loves them! I'm not sure where you get them, but I'm sure you could do a search and find them.

nerf guns are what my 10 yr old son and his friends love. TThey're generally $10-30.
