My kids love grilled sandwiches! So here is something that is easy and fun.
First I spread mustard on each slice of bread. Then I add deli sliced turkey (or Ham) and Cheddar (or American) cheese. I then butter and grill the sandwiches for about 1 minute per side, then I use 2 1/2 inch cookie cutters to shape the sandwich. My girls like hearts and flowers, and if you have animal shapes you can use mustard to draw the faces. My kids love them! The cookie cutters are also good for pancakes in the morning.
Here is another that is easy. "Hot Dog Macaroni"
ingredients:
1 pkg hot dogs
1 cup uncooked corkscrew pasta
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
(10 ounces) of frozen peas
1 cup 1% milk
Slice hot dogs into bit-size pieces; set aside. In a large saucepan cook pasta according to package directions, drain and return to saucepan. Stir in hot dogs, cheese, peas and milk. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally. My kids like this for lunch or dinner.
