I have an almost 2 year old daughter who wears 24 month or 2T clothes. She wears a size 4 diaper. I have bought many different brands of size 4 and they all pretty much fit the same.
i am participating in a program at my church, where you buy gifts for a children who need them. i chose a one year old girl (don't know how many months old). the only information is that she is a size 2T. They asked for diapers, and i am just taking a poll to see if your daughter currently wears 2T, what size diapers is she in? I know all kids are different, but I will pick the average or bigger size. Thanks!
wow! thanks to everyone for the responses! i ended up getting size 5...i hated the thought that they would possibly be too small, bu she can always grow into them or wear them a little big!
I have an almost 2 year old daughter who wears 24 month or 2T clothes. She wears a size 4 diaper. I have bought many different brands of size 4 and they all pretty much fit the same.
I would either buy size 5 or 6 in diapers. My son is 2 and wears a size 2T in clothes and size 5 (soon to be in size 6) in diapers.
my daughter is 2 and wears a 2T she is in a size 4, Sams Club and Costco are the cheapist for diapers...
My guess would be 4's but you can't go wrong with 5's she'll eventually get into them.
Size 5...my daughter is 13 months and very average in size and has been in a size 5 for a couple of months now.
L.,
I'm sorry this is late, but I just wanted to say. What a wonderful thing you are doing:o) That's very nice of you. We have 5 kids and we always try and do our best for others as well to show our kids. But To your question. I have a 14 month old (that wears 12 months) and 2 year old twins (that wear 2T). They both wear the same size diapers and we buy size 4. Hope that helps you out!
Happy Holidays.
size 5 for my 2T daughter...i like them a little big - covers more area and stretches....
My daughter wears size 4 diapers and she is in 2T clothes. So maybe size 4 or 5 would be appropriate to buy. Hope that helps.
My daughter is a 2T and wears a size 5 diaper.
My daughter is in sz. 2T & some 3T now and wears sz. 3, however she is thin! I would go w/ sz. 4 diapers to be safe!!! God Bless you for giving!!!
I have a 21m old daughter who is average size, wears mostly 2T clothes some 18m still and is in size 4 diapers and will be in those for a little while yet as she a fair amount of pounds away from growing out of them.
3 kids of my own and I have a daycare! Size 5...Good luck!
I say by size 4 or 5. You will be safe. Better a little to big than a little too small!
Safest bet would be a size 5 or 6.
Too bad that you can't get the weight of the child. Mine 20 mos old is a size 4 diaper and a size 24mos pants, but my daughter was a size 3 diaper and size 3t pants, she is tall and skinny.
I would go with a size 4 unless you can get the weight. Diapers go by weight in the sizing.
my one year old (will be 2 in Jan) wears 2T and is in a size 5 diaper (Huggies). Most one year old are not in a 2T quite yet, so they are probably just wanting clothes to be on the bigger size, so I think 5's would do fine. Good Luck and that is so nice of you!
I would say size 5!!
My son is a Size 4 diapers. He is 19 months but wears 2t clothes.
a size 4 or 5 in diapers
A size 4 or 5 would work, but I would buy a size 5 just to be sure. Better to be a bit big than small.
I have a 27mos daughter and a 12mos boy...both are wearing size 4 pampers. I think huggies runs smaller so my suggestion would be size 4 pampers or size 5 huggies.
Size 4. I have 2 sons this age, 2T and 3T, and they both wear 4 in diapers. Girls are usually more petite than boys, so, the 4's would definetly work for her.
If the child wears size 2T clothes, then she would most likely wear 2T-3T diapers. It doesn't matter how old she is. If a 2 year old wears 4T clothes, then she would wear 3T-4T diapers or maybe they're called 4T-5T. Either way, just go by clothing size! So, so nice of you to help out the less fortunate! Happy shopping!
my niece is one-wears a size 2t and wears size four diapers.
bless you for helping someone else in need
My daughter wears 2T and she is a size 5 diaper.
size 3 lasts that age and stage for a LONG time! so you lucked out, its an easy fit with size 3. Go for hte White Cloud. they are Very affordable, and work well!
Good Luck! Blessings this Holiday!
My son is a 2T/3T in pants and he just turned two. He wears size 6 diapers but can also wear size 5. So you could do either. The difference in the two are pretty minor. You could do 6 to be safe. I just got a huge box from Costco of size 6 and they are a smaller 6, so that might work. I was afraid to try cheaper diapers but figured what the heck and they work just fine. So that way you can get a big box for her, for cheap. And good for you to do such a nice thing for someone.
My daughter wears 2T and she is in the size 4 diapers. I purchase the Target brand.
My daughter is in 18mos-2T and wears size 4 diapers.
My daugher is 21 months, wears 2T and is #5 diapers. :o) What a great thing you are doing!
My daughter is 20 months and wears size 24 months but can fit into some 2T things, she is 28 lbs. She is in Size 4 diapers, so I'd probably go with Size 5 to be safe! What a great program at your church!
My grandson wears a 2T and his diapers are a size 5 (or he might be just starting to wear a size 6).
D.
Size 4. i think if they asked for diapers they are not looking into her growing into them. i say 4 would fit now
I'd go with size 5 at least. It's better to grow into than to be too small! My daughter wears size 18 mos and while size 4s still fit, she's worn size 5 (dad bought wrong ones ;P) and been just fine.
I would say size 5. I run a daycare and have several kids in my daycare currently from 16 months to 19 months that are in size 2t. and they wear a size 5 diaper. Plus it is better to be to big than too small. All the children in my care are boys and very thick. But my son who got potty trained last yr is 3. and he seemed to be in size 5 forever.
My youngest is now 2 1/2 and wears a size 5 in diapers. I would think a sizse 3 would be what the 2T child would wear. If my memory is correct, I believe all three of my children wore size 3 diapers for the longest. I wouldn't go smaller than that.
I would buy the average size (my 19 mo. old is in a 4 right now, but mines a boy). They can always exchange them for a different size if their little one is larger or smaller. (For a store exchange they shouldn't need a receipt... Just the diapers)
I agree with the 5's as well. I was going to say that before I even read anyone elses response. It is a wonderful thing you are doing.
size 4 would fit, but I would go with 5 to be safe.
Maybe a size 4....at least in pampers. I hope this helps!
My son wore size 4 diapers and 2T clothing, but, With a little more careful fastening, size 5 fit fine.
I would go with a size 4 - if she is in a size 3 most likely she will grow into the 4.
My son is 20 months and he is in a size 4 and he wears 18-24 month clothes. He is a bit chunky too.
most of the diaper companies use the toddler sizing for diapers too.....or find out how much the girl weighs
If its Huggies we're in size 3 (they are super streatchy), but any other brand it is size 4. I'd go with a bigger size as they absorb more. We CAN fit into size 3 other diapers, but they get too full, so another reason to stay with 4.
Good luck! :)
My daughter is 19 months old and wears a 2T for most clothes. She wears the 2T because she is tall. Her diapers are a size 4, and they can Velcro all of the way to the middle. My nephew just started into size 5 diapers, and he is 2 this month. They switched him to size five because the rise on the size fours was not high enough, they still would close fine, and hold enough. My recommendation would be a size four.
My daughter is one and she wears a 12mos. A one year old that is wearing a 2T is pretty large for her age. I would go with the largest diaper available. Probably a five or a 6 if they make it. For comparison, my daughter is 22 lbs. The 12-18 mos clothes run from 22-27 lbs and 18-24 mos generally run about 27-30ish. To be in a 2T I would estimate this little girl is at least 30 lbs. The diapers should have a weight range.
Hi L.,
Bless you for wanting to help others. I have a 2 year old son and he wears size 5. Even if she isn't the size of my son she will be eventually and if you get diapers to small it's a waste of money and your goodwill.
Chris
My son is a size 5 diaper and in 2T.
Hi L.,
How very kind of you to give like this.
I just wanted to add something. I am not sure how much time you have before you give the gifts but along with the diapers you could give her a big envelope of diaper coupons. I used to love them. Sometimes you could find coupons for two to five dollars off a box. I would wait until the stores had diapers on sale and then use my coupon on top of that.
You could have all your friends start saving diaper coupons from the papers etc. It's just a thought.
You have a good heart.
M.
I have twins and definitely recommend size 5. Mine have worn 5's from the time they wore 18-month pants to 2T. What a nice thing you're doing! : )
I would say 5, 4 might work but would be safe luvs are cheap and work great.
Thats awesome of you to help those in need!
My daugther is 22 months and she is over the 95% for height and weight. She is in size 6 diapers in both name brand and Kroger store brand. Hope this helps! What a nice thing you are doing for someone who will appreciate it! :)
My son is 17 months wears 18 month clothes.. and size 4 diapers.
MY daughtere is 34 months wears size 3t clothes and size 4 diapers.
I would go with size 4--- i think they go from 22-34 pounds..
at least that is what the package says...
My big guy is currently growing out of his 4's and 18 - 24 month clothes and into 5's and 2T's. If it helps, he is 35 inches and 27 pounds.
Hi L.,
Congratulations on your wonderful church program. I just wanted to pass along some information to you- a little food for thought. My daughter uses organic diapers for her children, the reason being, we found out that regular disposable diapers, like Pampers, etc., are pretty toxic things. They are bleached with chlorine, contain sodium polyacralate absorbing gels, and are usually sprayed with chemicals to give them a longer shelf life. My daughter decided that she didn't want that wrapped around her children's genitals for 2 years. She orders Seventh Generation unbleached diapers by the case online at diapers.com or seventhgeneration.com. They look a little funny- sort of tan- but at least they are not so filled with chemicals. These also can be bought at many stores.
I just thought that I would pass this along in case any moms out there are interested in 'greener' alternatives!
There are more safe recommendations in a new book just out "Green Goes with Everything" by Sloan Barnett- about $13 on Amazon or in book stores.
Best Wishes,
M.
Mine is in 2T and Huggies size 5 diapers. Either size 4 or 5 would be fine I'm sure, however, the 5's would last longer in my opinion. If they're big, she'll grow into them. Where as if the 4's are small or if she's close to outgrowing them, then they may not get much use out of them... If she's 1 and in a 2T, then she's likely 18 months or more. Mine is very tall and is 18 months ==> wearing 2T and size 5.
Good luck to you. What a wonderful thing you are doing!!!
my daughter is 2.5 and wears a 2T, sometimes 3T. I buy the size 4 from costco. The kirkland brand are much cheaper and I love them.
My daughter wore a size 4 diaper last year when she was 1 year old and wearing 2T clothes.
My son is 15 months old and is just growing out of size 3. An also wears size 12 months clothes. So if the child is wearing size 2t she/he must be a bigger child. I would go with a size 4. Hope i helped:)
My daughter wears a 2T and is in a size 5 diaper.
