My 2 year old daughter has had diahrea since friday and we are at a loss as to what to feed her. She's being picky and we have really only given her bland foods. She won't eat yogurt(which she normally does) so I was wondering also if frozen yogurt has the same enzymes in them as regular yogurt. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, yesterday I feed her applesauce, bananas, pretzels and frozen yogurt(told her it was ice cream) and no diahrrea last night or today!!!! Only solid poops! She seems like she's almost constipated! Hopefully tomorrow will be just as smooth! Thank you all for the advice! As for what to put on the rice, a little butter probably won't hurt. But not too much. Good luck! Try the BRAT diet, I think it really worked.

Danactive yogurt drink really helps my 2 yr old because of all the enzymes. Carrots, Apples, Bananas, Brown Rice, Sweet and Mashed Potatoes, toast. No juice, no sweets, no cheese.
Keep her hydrated and put diaper rash at every diaper change for added protection.

Starchy foods help A Lot.
Good Luck

Hello D.....my daughter is 9 now and I was told by her pediatrician that jello works. Mix hell and allow her to drink it. It will jell up in her little tummy....filling her up and also stopping the diarrhea. I would also give my daughter oatmeal, grits, cream of wheat without extra sugar or butter..just enough to give it a nice flavor for her. Hope this works for you.....It has never failed me.

If you give them rice or brown rice do you put anything on it to add flavor - like is a little butter ok? Or what else could be added for flavor. I don't know if my son would eat plain rice. He has diahrea too quite a bit so I"m really interested in trying this.
