I am going to ask my husband to finally go through with a vasectomy - LOL! but seriously - that is what I want.
I shop EARLY, which is no problem, when I'm buying for other people!
But I never know what *I* want, and every time someone asks... I just don't know! I never ask for anything for myself!
(except I do want the Harry Potter DVD set!! HAHA!)
I seriously need a new handbag and wallet... where to start?! I have one I asked for 4 years ago from pac sun dot com, and I love it, but I've worn it into the ground... it's about dead. Any suggestions?
What are YOU asking for for Christmas?? I need more ideas!
I am going to ask my husband to finally go through with a vasectomy - LOL! but seriously - that is what I want.
I had to laugh, because on the list of questions the subject heading underneath "What do YOU want for Christmas" was "Cellulite"! It looked like the answer to the question!
A year of sleep sounds good to me. I'd also like 8 days in a week. Realistically, I've quadrupled my cooking skills and interest over the last year so some fun kitchen gadgets would be fun.
You really got me thinking with this. Because I really have everything I want and need. Thanks for helping me realize how much I have and how grateful I am!
I want contributions for the House Improvement Fund. I always ask for that. And it helps a lot!
I wouldn't be unhappy if I received some new clothes (or a GC for them) - clothes that nobody else has worn before. I'm a thrift store shopper 99% of the time. It makes my wallet pinch much less, but it would be nice to be in style just a bit.
And I'm hoping my family will give me a photography class so I can learn more about my camera.
Merry Christmas!
OK...it's out here in print now R.! I want my EX-HUSBAND for Christmas & after Christmas too!! It was so stupid that we ever got divorced, we didn't try hard enough, had unrealistic expectations and let "way to much junk" with our adopted daughter's bio mom get in the way.
We live a mile apart, have raised our daughter together with love, she is a Freshman in college, he and I talk every day, do more on other days (neither one of us have been involved with anybody for years). Some of my daughter's friends didn't realized we were divorced because we are at all of her functions and enjoyed being together.
Yes, that's what I want :)
A massage a month for a year, and a year of great sleep - is that too much to ask for?
I want the puppy that hubby keeps going back and forth on
Oh, just the little things: peace on Earth and ending our "wars" -- both abroad and within our US political system :)
Curtains for my living room! Why do they have to be so expensive?!?!?
This year I am asking for all of us ladies in the family to have a pedicure date. Me, my sister, mom, and my oldest daughter. I want us all to give each other gift certificates to the same nail salon and pick a day we can all go have mimosas while we get our nails done and have lunch together.
I always ask for things for the kitchen. I like kitchen doodads. A good garlic press, a handi-chopper, immersion blender, cheesecake from, etc. I told my people that if they want me to cook things for them, I need the right tools. Last year I got a cake pedestal, and a new corning ware bakeware set.
Peace and quiet and for someone else to cook. I won't get any of it. I never do.
A camera bag for the T3 my husband bought me last spring and new sheets for our bed. I'm pregnant, so clothes are out. I'll probably get stuff for the baby too- new diaper bag, etc.
As for bags... check out the Vera Wang stuff at Kohl's. Great shapes and colors and they hold up beautifully! I've had mine for two years and it still looks brand new!
I caved and got something for myself. I just tracked it and it should be here tomorrow. Doesn't EVERY girl want a new pair of running pants?!
I want a sous vide.. and the books by grahm romieu.. and a massage.
I'll probably only get one of those things because I always say "oh, I don't need that, lets spend the money on the kids.. " so I'll walk away with the books lol.
European villa 2 weeks ski family vacation with a chef and housekeeping service.
I want a new camera and video camera. Maybe a few pair of shoes, I'm in desperate need of new shoes. Oh, and a new wedding ring would be nice, I'm hoping I get that soon but money has been tight with a 3rd baby coming.
Oh- I second the Vera Wang bags at Kohls, my MIL got me one 2 years ago for Christmas and I still get compliments on it. I love it, just wish it was bigger.
Ever since we moved into our current home we have hosted Christmas for DH family. Two out of the three Christmases I have been pregnant, our first Christmas I was 8.5 mo and this Christmas I will be 7.5 mo. I would love it if I didn't have to lift a finger to do anything. I usually don't mind hosting guests but then you are the size of a whale and short of breath the last thing you want to do is wait on a bunch of people. SO that being said if I could have a decorator, chef and a maid for this Christmas I would be in heaven and able to enjoy the holiday. Will this happen no but one can dream right.
I've actually been known to ask for appliances! I've gotten a new washer, vac and stove over the years. I might ask for a new Dryer this year, hehe.
I've gotten in to collecting My Little Ponies. I would love to be able to complete my childhood collection by Christmas.
A live-in maid would be lovely too!
The puppy that I fell in love with at SPCA this last weekend!
Seriously, ....a new handbag, wallet, camera if I didn't have one, a detail job on my car, or gift card to my favorite store to treat myself to an outfit or something.
A nice date night to do dinner theater. We have several good ones around us. I'd like to upgrade my diamond but that won't happen anytime soon LOL! :) New wardrobe...I feel so unstylish!! GC's for pampering are always a bonus...oh and a personal shopper to do all my shopping.
I would love a new purse & wallet. I would also like a new camera that records. But, I have realized that I am not too old for my wants to hurt. lol If I get anything it will be some $ from my mom. My husband does not buy me gifts although he expects them. We are suppose to do a $50 limit on each other. He usually ends up with something over $100 and I get nada or a crappy $20 or less. I am not at all saying that cheaper gifts are not great. But he usually gets me something with no thought behind it. It stinks! Least I get to see my baby boy get good stuff.
A new snowblower since mine is on its last leg.
I want a new pair of slippers and a Swiffer wet jet for my kitchen, because I'm tired of getting on my hands and knees every night to scrub the floor. :) That's it!
(If I had some sort of gift horse, though, I'd ask for all kinds of things. Friends on DVD...well, tons of things on DVD, a new pair of shoes, a new coat, a new purse, a new bed...but I am only going to ask for the above two things because those are in our budget.) :)
For the first time in a long time, I've actually thought about what I'd like to have for Christmas, mostly because we have a 4 year old and she will and Daddy need real ideas. We never exchanged many gifts before.
I want a rain gauge, a windchime, and some new plants. We just moved and we left almost all my plants. :(
I was also going to suggest Vera Wang's bags at Kohls. I bought one this summer that was priced at $109 and got it for $30 ish. I use it daily as my bag and the diaper bag.
A new camera.....(hubby and I will get this as a "together" gift).
We just bought a motorhome and need "stuff" for it.....pans, dishes, towels etc to keep it stocked, so if anyone asks, that's what I'm saying.
-monthly massage
-promise of a couple date nights w/o the kiddo
-promise of a girls night out
-netflix or hulu subscription
-nails done
My parents like to give us cash (which my husband loves). But they also know that my husband will just put that money in the bank and use it for bills or for materials for building our home. Yes that's a nice frugal way to spend our money, but it's a gift. Let's splurge on something I want instead of on something I need. So, my parents get me gift cards to Amazon.com, Target, Hobby Lobby, Sonic, and Old Navy so that I can do some shopping however I please. :)
Tickets to a concert or show in San Francisco AND a hotel room so we can spend the night! Gift card to a spa for massage and/or facial because I never spend money on that stuff for myself. A proper, pretty "grown up" watch.
On the practical side, a car detail would be nice!
Good question!! I'm honestly not too sure for me! I know already I'm getting the hubby an ipad2...or whatever new and good tablet is out. That's all he'll get because it's expensive. I also have asked for new appliances (last birthday I got a microwave and last Christmas I got my amazing refrigerator.) I have though about asking for an Electrolux stove...my parents have one and WOW! The amount of time it saves - YES PLEASE!! I love diamonds. I also want the faux wood blinds in my whole house...so I might ask for those - I know!! LOL...but it's what I want :o).
I will be realistic this time around and ask and expect nada.
Since we are the only one spending we usually say let's get nothing or I will end up with a last minute gift. Now if i were to get whatever I want, then I would ask for breville stainless steel wok (129 plus coupons so it will be around 110), a new mac laptop(because this one has died one too many times).
That is it.
I am done christmas shopping for my kids. My hubby will get an ipad 2.
I want an xbox so i can stream a different workout to my t.v. in the living room every day. Ill probably get that before Christmas.
I can't believe I missed this one!!!
I "want" a Coca Cola cutting board that I found on ebay...it would replace the one that I've had for almost 15 years and is ending it's life soon!!! :)
I KNOW what I'm getting!! My girlfriend and I went shopping today after I picked her up from the airport...there was a DKNY purse that I was "coveting" and she bought it for me!! She's making me WAIT for Christmas!! (MEANY!!!)
Okay - I have purses...tell me what you like in a purse...I'll send you pics and you can choose!!! I'll mail it with the silverware!!!
I've got most of my shopping done. My mom & dad are done. I've made my list!!! YAHOOO!!!
