What Can You Tell Me About Kindermusik?

I am a licensed daycare provider and I am checking into some other business opportunities. I know that daycare is not something I want to do long term. I have been doing some research on Kindermusik. It sounds like a great program. Is there anyone out there that is a business owner, teacher or has attended the classes? What can you tell me about your experience? Any information would be great. Thanks

What can I do next?

I have a friend who is a director in the Kindermusik program. She is very successful. Would you like me to give her your email address and have her contact you? She lives in a different state, but that should make no difference.

I have thought about it also, but we live in a small rural area and I'm not sure what the response would be. Plus, it looked like you might be needing to sell Kindermusik instruments and things of that nature and I just want to do the program and not worry about selling things.

Let me know.

I am a Kindermusik Educator, Program Director, Master Teacher and Trainer of new Educators. I also know of a couple Educators in your area and would be happy to give you their contact information if you'd like. It's a wonderful program - I started out as a parent 12 years ago and have been teaching for 11 years. It is not a franchise, you are not required to sell products and your teaching time is determined by how much or how little time you'd like to invest.

I'd be happy to to answer any questions you have. - Debbie

I have had my son in music classes since he was 6 months old (he's about to turn 4 this month). He still really enjoys it.

He started when it was Do-Re-Mi-and you. Then, Kindermusik bought Do-Re-Mi-and you...at least that's how I understand it. We've had the same instructor and she's really seen him grow up and develop skills along the way.

Even though he's in pre-school, we wanted to continue to take the music classes because they offer more than just singing songs. He learns to play small instruments, group activities, and (at 2 1/2) knew the difference between pianissimo (soft) and forte (loud)!

We love it!

My son has loved Kindermusik, he has been taking it since he was a little baby :) He is almost 4 now. Check out the site Kindermusikwithamy.com I was looking into becoming a Kindermusik teacher and it was going to cost me about $199 to take the 10 week online training (not bad!), the classes are easy to follow and are themed, there's a book that goes along with each course so you really only have to put your personality (not creativity) into it :) The class is a learning through movement and music classes, many teachers have a music background as older Kindermusik classes tend to be more learning instruments/voice etc. But pre-school age are just fun and they learn everything from different types of drums and music to how to clean up around the house and play on the playground :) If you are good with kids go for it! It seems like it would be a great way to make money on the side!

Hi!

I am a Kindermusik teacher in Fenton, MI and have been doing it for 3 years. It's a wonderful program and I absolutely LOVE teaching it! If you're trying to make a significant income you have to really work at building your program and it will probably take a few years. I'm fortunate that my income is just for all the "extras" so I can do as much or as little as I want.

I would be more than happy to speak with you in detail if you're interested. You could also come and observe a class or even bring your kids along and participate.

Feel free to contact me privately at ____@____.com

Good luck!
