I'm just curious as to what you are getting your kids this year for Christmas. I have an 8 year old son and almost 3 year old daughter. We are done shopping for presents for my son but I just can't make up my mind on what to get my daughter. Any ideas on what to get a 3 year old? And like I said I was just curious what you will be getting your other children. Happy Holidays.

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the responses! We have gotten some great things for Christmas! We have gotten the 5 in 1 Rain-forest Stroller, Dora Doll House accessories to go with the house she already has, the V Smile camera, princess coloring book, jewelry, books, Sansa Shaker MP3 Player, and a doll. We have gotten the new Nintendo DS Lite with three games for my son, Legos, Nintendo DS starter kit with everything he will need for it, a GI Joe Sigma 6 guy, Sansa Shaker MP3 Player, camera, and some dragon toys he collects. Thanks again everyone! Happy Holidays!!

Go to Target.com and click on toys for girls, then narrow the search to "award winning" toys, then narrow it for her age bracket. I found some great gift ideas that way.

For my 9 year old we are getting him a new stereo that will allow him to hook up the MP3 player he got last year as well as play his cds and an electric scooter. And for my 3 year old son we are getting an art easel and art supplies, a bigger bike, and a VTech VSmile. He is always wanting to play video games with my older son, but just isn't ready yet, so we thought this would be a good bridge, plus it is educational.

For your 3 year old, dress up is always good, the kitchen set is popular at my house, and my son loves the battery operated car he got last year from my sister. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Our 4 year old got a Gator John Deere from his grandparents to share with his little brother. My DH and I are getting them a Train Table with a few trains to start.

My daughter is getting a CD and a makeover, and our oldest is getting a gift card.

Hi S.,
I have 2 sets of twins! My boys are 8yrs. My girls are 3yrs.
My girls have the Dora talking kitchen & absolutely love it!
They've had it since they were 1yr but just this past year have really started role playing with it.
They also really enjoy the Laugh & Learn Puppy from Fisher Price.
They like dressing up in their princess dresses & shoes. We bought them the princess & fairy trunks from Sams. Each trunk contains 3 dresses, 3 necklaces, 3 wands & 3 tiaras or butterfly wings depending on which you choose.
Oh & of course they love to have tea time with all their barbies! Hope this helps. Y.

When my daughter was 3 (she's only 4 now) the most played with toy in the house was a castle shell (like a doll house but in the shape of a castle. She used the princess figurines you can buy in a set at the disney store and a few others we've bought at Learning Express. And it doesn't have any furniture. It literally gets played with daily and it's still a hit a year later.

I would think a castle set you could buy with furniture and figures all together would be a really big hit. Ours was very piecemeal but it hasn't mattered.
