If your child has enough teeth, feed them what you are eating. It will not only help you eat healthier because you are worried about veggies and fruits for your kids, but it will also make it easier on you not to prepare two meals. On the go, I always keep a mix of raisens and cheerios in the diaper bag. I also keep a gerber fruit strip and grahm crackers. They are my staples. If I know I'm going to be out way past lunch, then I pack a soynutbutter and jelly sandwich, already precut so it's easy to feed.
As far as snacks, my kids love brocoli in italian dressing. They eat it like it's going out of style. Oh and my kids are 2 1/2 years and 15 months. I also give fruit as a snack, either canned or fresh. Crackers sometimes as treats for them. Just have fun with what they eat. Let them try new things!
