Nope. Everything was great in my house!!
I had to take a friend to the airport and left my kids home alone to get themselves off to their bus stops and neither one missed their bus and I didn't have to call to remind them to leave!! YAHOO!!
Ugh, the day after "spring forward."
Power on, mommas! And dads!
OK, you all deserve a pat on the back! My kids could not settle down to sleep yesterday and I could not wake them this morning. My son missed carpool, and so did a 3rd grader from second family. And to top it off, it's picture day today. Tomorrow will be a better day!

My 13 yr old son is almost always a few minutes late for school (he misses some of homeroom) - but today there was a line of cars that is never there. I also noticed more traffic on the way to my office too! they say there's a higher incident of heart attacks this week too so don't stress!
Yes! But it wasn't me or the sitter. :). My husband is working from home today so I cancelled the sitter and he got them out the door. They were at the bus stop, when they remembered it was PJ day, so they all had to go change. Hubby drove them to school and he said the line was out to the road (about half a mile) with LATE kids. WOW!
No, It is Spring Break here!! We'll use the time wisely to get used to it!!
Thank goodness we are on spring break, however, my little one, 6 year old, loves to help me set my alarm clock, well, I knew I could sleep in a little this morning since they were on break. So as I was in and out of dream world, I heard some voices, he didn't slide the alarm for the annoying "BEEP" noise and instead somehow lowered the volume an I almost overslept.
Can I just say, I HATE Day light savings! I'd rather keep my hour and every early bird or daytime person can just get up early, let us who love the night sleep, don't take our hour away, please.....
Today we were fine. Yesterday I woke myself and the kids up an hour earlier than I needed to, not realizing that my husband had changed the clocks before he had gone to bed. We were ready to head out the door for 10:00am when I realized it was only 9:00am. A lot of people missed church yesterday.
No, we changed the clocks yesterday. Now, I did get up extra early to make sure I didn't sleep through my alarm clock. The kids were pretty hard to wake up too. It may take a couple of days for them to switch their biorhythms.
We diligently set all our clocks correctly but the most important clocks (our internal body clocks) are still lagging behind. Consequently I was late in an effort to push everyone else out the door first. I could certainly see the tail dragging on my two year old as we rousted him. Poor little guy... The extra sun in the evenings will be nice but it is a tough adjust at first.
Thank goodness we are on spring break!
Not late for school, but our oldest was late in getting up. Woke him up usual time and he went right back to sleep.
Spring Forward is definitely no fun, although I'm loving it being so light in the evening now.
Nope. We are on Spring break this week! Yeah!!!
not late! But they did say they were taking a nap when they got home from school today!
We were not late at all. We went camping w/ the Girl Scouts this weekend. I was up very late Saturday, didn't sleep well, and was the first one up at 5:50 am (so had the time not changed it would have been 4:50 am....what was I thinking?). I didn't need to be up but couldn't sleep. So, I was super tired last night.
My daughter had an hour fog delay this morning so I was able to let her sleep in from her normal schedule.
Nope. We changed our clocks before bed on Saturday. DD was home today though because she was sick.
My little ones are definitely dragging. My teenage son and I had to get up at 6:30 AM yesterday anyway for a hockey game so his internal clock got re-set yesterday and he's used to weird hours anyway. My little boys were still asleep at 8:20 yesterday when I had to get them up for Sunday school and 7:30 for them today was a very hard wake up. They made it on time but just barely. On the bright side, my littlest guy should be able to go sledding with my husband when he gets home from work at 6!
Mine didn't want to wake up this morning. He wasn't late going to school just took him a little bit to wake up.
Yep, but only because my oldest was pretending to be sick--until he saw how serious I was about him staying in his bed all day. We were an hour late, but when I checked him in there were many late kids on the list with the reason saying, "Rough morning."
No, why would they be?Same routine
Nope! But they were a little slower getting ready.....
No but that's because they are on spring break this week. This week their schedules will get thrown off like crazy anyways. So hopfuly when they go back it wont be any worst than going back after a break!!
Yes, my son was late for school this morning. All three kids were fitful all night, but I only have one in school yet. I wish more schools would make the week after spring forward their break, because SOME people (adults and children) take awhile to adjust to the change. There is scientific evidence that the later exposure to daylight affects your circadian rhythms and the body's production of melatonin, so yay for those who have no interruption to their schedules, but how about a little compassion for those in the world who are dealing with human variability? Jeez.
Why would my kid be late for school today? Clocks changed yesterday.
My teen was actually up before the alarms even went off this morning. He beat them by about 30 minutes. Which was weird.
Funny u asked no they were not.. And I wonder why? Because we always struggle with being on time. I think I was so worried about being late because of day light savings time.
L.
We were on time, somehow. Late start. You guys had picture day today? How cruel!!!
DS was fine. I couldn't believe I had to be up at (what is really) 5:30 am.
Yep! Not only were they late, but so was I-(I teach) and we had a call to ask if we could pick up a friends daughter this morning. (She locked them out of the house when they went down the driveway for her older kids to catch the bus. Her keys were in the house) So the whole car load- late! Me by 20 min., the girls by 10. I hate time switching.
