Rubbing alcohol. Put some in a spray bottle and lightly mist the area with it. Then use a clean dry cloth to rub the stain out.
My couch is a type of microfiber, we dont eat near it, but have spilled water on it several times. It leaves huge water stains. Anytime I try to spot clean it, it leaves water stains. My couch looks like it has stains all over it, but its just water. Anyway of getting rid of this?
How do you wash the entire surface??? Sorry if that sounds stupid, but its not like I can just throw it in the wash machine. lol

Is your couch scotchguarded? If not, I think that you can buy a can of it at a furniture store.
My couch is also microfiber, the only way to get rid of the spots is to clean the entire thing, which we do quite often otherwise it looks terrible.
I am so glad you asked this question. Just yesterday i was trying to figure out how to get the water stains out of my microfiber couch. I tried Oxy clean, I have used our shampooer and cant find anything. I have cleaned the whole thing. I am wondering what these people are using to clean the whole thing......Sorry i am no help, but I will be watching this post.
my thought to wash the entire surface: is the stain on a cushion? does the cushion have a zipper? can u take it off and send it through the washer? or if not, can u take a damp cloth and rub over the entire surface of the cushion (or arm etc)
i did some research on the web and here are some suggestions:
Lysol disinfectant wipes, use them to clean it
to clean spots on microfiber white or cream sofa, you could use Windex. It will remove ink and sometimes even remove marker stains. Also, you can keep your sofa's covers looking clean by unzipping the cover, then remove the foam and just put the covers in the washer in a delicate setting.
After washing the covers, let them air dry, and you will have a clean looking couch cover.
good luck
My sofa and chairs are microfiber. I don't spot clean, I wash the entire surface and let it dry. This usually does the trick.
I might suggest after you wash it down (with a cloth??) that maybe you vacuum some of it to even it out, especially if you are spot cleaning. I would also say buy a can of scotchguard and spray that puppy down...but be prepared to leave the house for a bit after that! ;)

I have had the manufacturer come out to clean our microfiber couch (because we paid for that service when we bought it), but he told me that a baby wipe will take out most stains on that type of surface. I haven't met a stain yet that the baby wipe has not erased. It takes some muscle and you might have to wipe the spot down 2-3 times, but it does work and it doesn't leave it looking "uneven".
mine is microfiber too and I get water stains also. I take the cover off and throw all the covers in the wash. they dry quick and they come out looking like new:)!
