I have a 9 month old son and we have been couped up all winter!! It is finally getting to be some decent weather and I want to get him out.......
I live in Huntsville AL and would like to know what your ideas are for getting him outside!?! Zoo....Park.....Aquarium.....Rock City in TN? Is he still to young to enjoy these places???
Go for a walk. Go to the park and swing. Those are free and good for both of you. You can do them over and over.
Oh....of course they are never too young to enjoy them. Even if they look blasé about the expedition it is definitely beneficial. A walk to people watch is great for socialization. Do as much as you can with him!
Just take him anywhere - the best thing you can do is expose him to new things, and EVERYTHING is new to him. Walks around your neighborhood - go different directions and talk to him about what's going on around you. Parks and swinging, sliding him down the slide, etc. Take him where you go. You don't need to spend money to expose him to things - save that for when he's older and can appreciate it more, or when you want to do something as a family.
My kids loved those types of things at that age, but for a very small amount of time, so if it's a far drive or very expensive, you may want to wait a while.
I'd start with a park or something first, do something you know you will enjoy too, and work up to the longer day thing.
