I'm due in about two months and am trying to decide which hospital to deliver at. I'll be having a scheduled c-section (so the birthing center at Wesley is out) and will probably spend a few days there. I would appreciate any opinions, info, first-hand experience on everything from nurses to food, good or bad. Thanks so much!

I had my son at St Joseph, in January of 2009, and had a GREAT experience! Great Staff, you can pick your meal from a menu any time of day, room was nice, and it was easy to get to!
Best of luck!
I have had two babies at Via Christi and absolutly love it. The nurses were great. They will help you or leave you alone depending on what your needs are. The rooms were comfy. And the food was yummy and plentiful. I also think it is easier for family to get in and out of the hospital to visit.
My favorite thing about Via Christi LDR is the Lactation Consultants. If you are planning on breastfeeding they are AWESOME. They will offer you as much help as you need, both before you leave the hospital and after. Good luck with your choice.
I would definitely recommend Via Christi! My daughter & daughter-in-law had babies at Via Christi, my other daughter-in-law had hers at Wesley and was not happy with her treatment. She wanted to nurse and they kept giving her bottles to feed the baby ~ hello, she is trying to nurse, quit feeding him!!!! The staff didn't come in as often to check on her!! My daughter loved that she had a queen bed to sleep in at Via Christi and could eat when she wanted, her husband could eat there too for $5 for his meal!!
