So What Happened?

thank you girls for your recommendations, i decided to go with bridgevill animal hospital, other people i knew sent their dogs there, i was very pleased, i can not believe how i was being ripped off by vca - castle shannon , vca charged 150 for an x-ray and bridgeville charged 75, i dont get it, i was extremely happy and felt very comfortable , they were very patient and spent time with you , i didn't feel rushed like i did at vca , so i have found myself a new vet and would highly recommend anyone there. thanks!!!!!

I second Jennifer's response. Bridgevile Animal Hospital and Dr. Rubin are great. We've actually followed Dr. Rubin to several locations in the south hills over the last 15 or so years. We've also seen the other vets at this practice and been very happy with all of them.

I hope you find a vet that takes good care of your dog!

We take our cat to Robinson Animal Hospital (RAH) and see Dr. Courtney Bennett. We see her based upon the recommendation of another vet who works at pet emergency care. That vet said the animals she saw from RAH were always in good shape overall.

We go to the Pt. Breeze Animal Clinic in Pt. Breeze. They are not cheap, but they have always been super with my dog, and have kept him overnight one time when he was really sick. For something that is non-emergent, I think they are very upfront about costs, however, you do have to ask.

I highly recommend Greentree Animal Clinic. Dr Mann is the best. It's located near the intersection of Greentree and Cochran (next to Ritas/across from Giant Eagle, if that helps)

I HATE the VCA in Castle Shannon! I had to go there twice and they almost made me bankrupt!! After spending 5 hours and almost $600 the 2nd time, I took my cat home only to have her die 2 hours later. We used to take our dog to Bridgeville Animal Hospital right on Bower Hill Rd. Dr. Ruben was great and truly loves animals. There is another doctor there that we would see sometimes that was great too, but I can't remember her name. Their number is ###-###-####.

HI M., We use Nothern Pike Vet. in Monroeville. All the Doc's there are great and are willing to go the extra mile to give great care! They were recommended to us by one of my daughter's former teacher. We have a greyhound and she was taken care of at Tender Touch Vet in Wexford before we adopted her...they are great too. Good luck.
