I have had 3 IVF failures - chemical pregnancy, and 1 natural miscarriage at 6 weeks. The ultrasound (3D) shows a wide arch on top of the uterus and 3 out of the 4 doctors said that was not a problem. I got an MRI done and it shows a clear septum in that.
Has anyone got surgery done by either DrCharles miller or dr.madgy milad in Chicago? They seem to be both rated good and I am trying to access who to go with. I dont have any insurance with DrMiller but he seems so confident! PLEASE HELP!
With so many losses, I have to go forward with the surgery and am hoping any bit makes a difference. As for insurance - I do have it but just not for Dr. Miller, who would have been my first option

Im sorry you are going through this. I don't know how anyone could afford a surgery without insurance. I would think you have to go with the dr who accepts your insurance. Did the other dr agree to do the surgery for a cash price? Does he or she know you don't have insurance with them?
You don't have insurance? I would hate to see the fines you are going to incur because of that. If you've done 3 IVF treatments (sorry they have all failed) money might not be an issue for you.
I've never lived in Chicago. I can't recommend any GYN's there. Why do they want to remove the septum? Is the doctor saying that is why you can't get and stay pregnant? I do know that what you have is a congenital defect. After surgery, what did the doctor's say your chances of conception and full term pregnancy are? If they aren't any different than what you have now? I would not do the surgery.

I have been in your position and though did not have the same problem, I did consult with Dr. Miller. He seems very confident and is very thorough, he has a tendency to over do tests for perfect results when it is not required. His team was aweful when I went to him. I miscarried in his care and his team was screaming at me because I was upset.
However, I would get a second opinion, Northwestern has a great team of doctors and they are wonderful and so is the team. Hang in there, it is a tough and brutal road but the results are worth it
I think you mean that your insurance doesn't cover that particular doctor..
but anyway, I had a slight septum and had no problems having my dd. I'm not a doctor, but having surgery (especially if they don't think you need it), can lead to scarring and other injuries that will really make it hard to conceive. I'd go with the 3/4 that don't think you need it.
