I agree that a lot can happen in one month. Have you tried the Nuby (soft top) sippy cups from Wal-Mart? They made my daughter's transition a piece of cake. Also, if she is still on a bottle in a month or 2, is it really that big of a deal? I think everyone-even pediatricians sometimes, places way too much emphasis on some "milestones" that never used to be an issue(my parents had bottles until 2 or 3 years of age). If she is 4 and still on a bottle and possibly causing dental issues, that is a problem. But what will it really hurt if she waits until she is 13 months to transition? I constanty struggle with "keeping up with the Jones'" and letting my child be a CHILD. My daughter is almost 2 1/2 and it is scary how fast she is growing up. I try not to force anything on her and she has managed to make these kinds of changes on her own-even potty training. I feel like it is better for me to introduce things to her and then she lets me know when she is ready. By doing this, she was walking at 10 months, off the bottle within 2 weeks of her 1st birthday and using the potty the day before her 2nd birthday.
