For me it's ovarian cysts.
After having my third child by c-section and having my tubes tied, my period went back to normal. Around 6 months postpartum, my periods are becoming weird. I have a normal period for approx. 4-5 days, then I stop for a day or maybe two or three, then I start all over again. I'm not sure what to think of this. Any advice would be great. I haven't went for a checkup because I don't want to go if it could be nothing. Should I be worried, has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks for advice and input everyone. I have made an appt. for the 23rd. I let ya know how things turn out.
For me it's ovarian cysts.
I had my first child at 17 when i was 19 my periods started doing the smae thing, and then they got painfull. I went in for a check up and they did a hysterscopy and found that i had endometriosis and that is what was causing all the weird periods. I would go talk to my gyn about it.
I have had the same thing (c-section, tubes, etc), except I had not had a peroid in 3 years because I had babies back to back, and it was 14 months postpartum, and my doctor said it may take a few months to get back to normal.
Yeah, I agree that you should see your doc about it. It could be something minor like ovarian cysts (which I've had since I was a teen and I've never had regular periods except when on the pill), but it could be a number of other things too. If you don't have a history of irregular or abnormal periods and this is unusual for you then you should be seen by your doctor.
you should definitly go in for a check up, it may turn out to be nothing but on the other hand what if it turns out to be something and you did nothing
I had this problem when I was younger and it was ovarian cysts, and it was treated with birth control pills. Most cysts will either go away on their own, or with some hormones in the bc pills. I would definately go to the doctor and see what he/she says.
