I recommend Dr K. Stephens. He is at the Mercy location at Memorial & Boulevard (around the corner from where Lion's Fun Park used to be in Edmond). It's easily accessible since you can take Kilpatrick right to Blvd and then just a mile north.
I like his CNA, Cathy Gezel, VERY well. She is really great witht the little ones. I think she sees most of the illnesses, and Dr. Stephens likes to do the wellness check ups. They are also very fast (but they don't rush you out the door either) about getting you in and out and seem to be pretty sensitive in making the experience as comfortable as possible. I have several friends that take their kids there, and my sister even switched her daughter from another pediatrician at that same office to Dr Stephens. I have heard zero complaints from everyone I know that uses him - so I highly recommend him! He does havea sort of a straight forward, good ole boy attitude - so he gets to the point which I like! They have never made me feel like I my questions are dumb, etc.
Sometimes, you are going to have a not so great experience regardless of who your Dr. is. One time, a lab nurse had a VERY difficult time finding a vein for bloodwork for allergy test. While it was heart wrenching, sometimes those things, as bad as they suck, have to be done for your babies health, ugh! I had my husband go in and I hid out in the hallway. LOL I have medical problems and also have hard to find veins, so I understood the issue, but it was still very hard to see my baby so unhappy. Regardless, this would have been an issue no matter what Dr. was seeing him, you know?
I do think all Dr's need some reminder as to what you are and are not doing. I always give them a quick synopsis just because I've had to go to so many Dr's way too many times with my own health issues. Plus, I take a list of written down questions with me so I don't forget anything I want to ask. I think Dr's tend to be somewhat overloaded in general and it doesnt hurt to recap your particular baby's situation - just my thoughts!

OH! I almost forgot to mention - they have an after hours #. If you have a sick baby after hours and are concerned about your baby that cannot wait until the office opens back up, you can call for help! I absolutely love this service and to me, it's imperative for a new mom! It was such a relief on multiple occassions to get a live body to tell me what to do!
Good luck!
