T.P.
I would try Craigslist. I am also looking for a twin bed for my daughter and I've seen a lot of really nice ones (with fairly new mattresses) for quite inexpensive. I am just looking for something very specific.
Besides IKEA, are there any other stores that have cheap-ish twin beds? I haven't found anything.
Thank you!

I bought my son's bed at IKEA. But, I would check Goodwill and Salvation Army. Any thrift store. Just because it's used doesn't mean it isn't any good.
My boys share a room and I needed to have bunk beds.
If you buy a bed from IKEA check how tall the bed is. Our bed ended up too tall for the room.
We bought one bed at IKEA and another at America the Beautiful Dreamer. We bought the mattresses separately, one at Costco and the other at Sleep Country for decent prices.
We ordered our sons bed from Expressions For The Home. It looks like a fouton store and is on highway 99 near King City.
The great thing about them is they have a bunch of catalogs and will help you find any type of bed you'd like.
I've also seen great prices and quality kids furniture at Costco.
Good Luck,
We looked on Craigs list, and Matress world, one of the locations had advertised a really good deal. We printed it up and took it to a different location, and they took it. They will match a competitor too. We ended up paying less than $100 I think. We looked around for a while too. Good will more expensive. I would check with Matress world.
