TTC And Starting to Worry

Hello moms!

My husband and I am TTC baby number 4. We were fortunate enough to get pregnant very quickly with our first three children. However, we have been trying to conceive baby number 4 for about 9 months with no luck. I am 32 years old and I know they say it takes longer to conceive after 30 but I am starting to worry. I have had my thyroid checked and it is fine. I had an ultrasound about 9 months ago to check for reasons why I have been having long periods and they found nothing. I have been using the ovulation predictors and I am pretty sure I have been ovulating but sometimes those lines are hard to read. This month I have switched to a digital monitor but I am still freaking out! Anyone else been in this situation or have any words of wisdom for me? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I know it's easier said than done but relax and quit trying. We tried for a year and a half and thats the advice everyone gave me. I thinking in my head "are you freaking nuts, I want a baby" finally I had kinda let the thought of getting preggers go to the back of my head and I got pregnant...

hey girl - i was in the same boat as u - 32 and ttc #3, my first 2 were conceived month 2 & month 1 when we tried for them - it took us over a year to conceive #3 - i had a ton of tests done, as did my hubby, and everything was fine - it turned out that i was a really late ovulator, and we finally actually conceived day 25, when the ovulation predictor said i ovulated way earlier, so we really were just having fun at that point and not trying to have a baby lol! i had also just started taking extra supplements to help extend the time between ovulation & when my next period would start - the luteal phase is supposed to be at least 10 days, and mine was lasting 6-9 days, and then my periods would end up lasting for 7 - 12 days - i do think the supplements helped a bit (i was only on them for a couple months), but i also think us just relaxing and not worrying about it as much helped too.

hopefully i didn't share too much information lol - good luck - sending u baby dust!

hugs!

Don't know where you are with all of this and what's happened in the past six weeks, but I have done years of research and know that poor nutrition can be one of the causes with trying to conceive. Have no idea what your diets (his too) are like.....additives, preservatives, dyes, processed foods, etc. are like but it's worth looking into.

The body requires specific nutrients for conception to take place. Over the years, maybe you (and/or he may have) built up a toxicity or have some nutritional deficiencies. Not difficult to find the info. Let me know if you want/need help.

Hi K.,
Wanted to share with you that I know several ppl who were TTC who started taking my company's nutritional products, and then were able to. Basically, our products are patented, and designed to give the body what it needs to start working the way that it was intended to work...keep hormone's balanced, etc.
A friend of mine would be happy to share her experience with you, and I can get you in front of other information that goes right along with the topic of TTC. Just get in contact with me and we can talk (I'm currently in Phoenix at our national conference, learning more about helping ppl :) So it may take me a day or so to get back to you.)
Blessings,

Not many words of wisdom, but 32 is not old... I had my two kids at 36 and 38. Sometimes it just takes more time - hang in there and relax as much as you can : )

Hi,

Infertility is no fun, sorry you are dealing with it......

There is a support group called "Resolve Through Sharing", they may help.

My thyroid too was declared to be "fine" although I had all the classic symptoms of hypothyroidism. Finally one doctor let me try taking thyroid--wow, did I feel better! and I got pregnant. Not immediately, but I think it was within a year. I doubt I would have had either of my kids without the thyroid.

Also, as someone else said, 32 is not old, i had mine at 34 and just a week or so before 38. But you are wise to check things out. Good luck!
