Pick up a paintbrush? I paint, doodle you name it. You dont have to be an artist to be a painter. I figured out just by playing that i am amazingly good. I will toot my own horn to that..toooot tooot. you could get into pottery, thats something the lil man could do too. also there are usually things you can do volunteer wise where he could help. I would wear my youngest to the soup kitchen, they would have me work the front room and mingle with the people who came in for breakfast. most the people who go to soup kitchens have been going there so the staff knows them very well. you have no idea what seeing your li guy may do to brighten their day. and it is never to earlier to get young ones involved in civil service work or community service.
you could go to a local hobby store to. They have all sorts of stuff you could do from car models to painting figures...making your own board games. you could make blankets to since you have that crafty side and give them out to the homeless or needy. I did this one year. I put out in the paper i was collecting blankets for the homeless. once i had enough to give out to as many as i could we went up to seattle one night and we did just that. we handed them out to those who need an extra. My oldest took so much from that. we had pulled over at one point and i got out of the car and there was a man sitting on the off ramp with nothing but the clothes on his back and his sign. He was maybe just over 18. Since i had the kiddos in the car i didnt get to talk to him. It is such a huge learning thing for kids. I love going up when it is just hubby and i i will go up just to talk to those most people would throw trash at. all they need is love and someone to show them compassion. They may have screwed up some where to get where they are. See past it. and you can see the world.
Sorry i am very involved in volunteer stuff and helping..i may have gotten on my box of soap...I wish you the best in finding something to keep you stimulated.... sometimes moms forget we need that too.
