We love Temple Emanu-El in Oak Park! We're not Jewish, but they are really wonderful, our 2 year-old has been going since September and he loves it. http://www.emanuel-mich.org/study/earlychildhood/
My son is almost 2 and I would like to get him into a good preschool. Please if you have any suggestions let me know. Anywhere in or around Royal Oak would be ideal.
Thank you

The royal oak library has a booklet with information about preschools in the area.
Most preschools want the child to be 3 by december 1st.
So he wont qualify for most programs.
There is a coop preschool in troy for 2 year olds.
Faith Lutheran church also has a mom and tot class for 2 year olds.
There is a montessori school in ferndale - I think they have a part time program for 2 year olds..
There is a two year old program at the Drayton Ave. Coo-op preschool in Ferndale. For that age, parent goes with child but it is a wonderful way to introduce your child to school. My daughter and I loved it!
For the 3 and 4 year old preschools, I have to recommend Huntington Woods Christian Preschool. The teachers are warm, caring and our experience has been nothing short of excellent!
I sent my daughter to Our Shepherd Lutheran Preschool and she loves it! I like the teachers there, and they get great support from the dayschool & early childcare programs. I also found the teachers work very well with each individual child's abilities & talents. They also help ensure your child is ready for kindergarten, teaching him/her fundamental social skills as well as organizational (making sure you get your homework at the end of school, getting on coat & shoes, etc.) that seem trivial to us but a big deal to a 4 or 5 year old not used to not having Mommy there to help.

I teach the Parent-Toddler class at the Troy Co-op Preschool. This class would be appropriate for your son's age. It's a lot of fun! I'm currently doing the class with my own 2 year old :)

Some of my grandkids have gone to the one that Royal Oak schools have at Churchill center, and it's excellent. Another one is currently in the Drayton Ave. coop preschool in the Drayton Ave. Presbyterian Church off Oak Park Blvd. in Ferndale. Her siblings have gone there too and it's also excellent.
My daughter went to Northwood preschool (they hold this class in the Churchill building just north of Red Run golf course and east of Rochester). I have nothing but wonderful things to say about their program and the three wonderful teachers. I highly recommend them. Good luck :)
In home preschool, montessori based.
